Hello everyone! I would like to ask you a question about the skill level in live games vs online. Can a online player who beats 10nl for a decent winrate(say 10bb/100) also beat live 1/2 or 2/5? And also can you make a living playing 2/5 live?

Solid 10-25nl winners usually have the technical skill to do alright at lowstakes live, but you shouldn't expect to just hop into 2/5 and start crushing. Live has some specific skills, you have to get used to playing bigger pots for hundreds rather than tens of dollars, etc.

Yes, it is possible but not particularly glamorous to make a living at most 2/5 live games. Of course, this can depend on cost of living and location too.

/end thread above .. as solid of a post as you'll see in two sentences.

Live Player pools can be very diverse and (IMO) you need to incorporate less 'auto' spots live than online, especially in rooms that are low stakes heavy, where the whole pool is forced to play the lowest stake due to whatever reason so the skill and bankroll spreads are very wide.

It all depends on your online site as well .. are you winning against good Regs or also a mixture of Players?

Live is slower, more social and you don't have all the stats in front of you that online provides. Even something as simple as betting sizes takes brain power since you now need to maintain some semblance of pot and stack sizes each hand. GL
