Reason: ozi owns u all..thats the price u pay for a good mod...(oops, i wasnt supposed to say that out loud)
urge to lock and start a new LC thread rising....in some forums (microstakeslimit for example) you'd get your ass handed to you on a platter for starting this sort of thread
also NYE is so yesterday in some parts of the world....and i needs a beer before i flitter out of this thread....cya in a few pages time (ducwidt?)
And C'mon ... link to all the earlier ones too. They're fun. And I started it and I want the credit ... pioneered. (somehow the one I started is no longer connected via links from here)
I love my job at this time of year ,so far I will have had 12 days off including tomorrow over Xmas and New Year and none of it is holiday just due to lack of work.Yeah!!
Now I just have to win the $30m lotto draw tomorrow and it will have been a perfect start to the year.
please forgive my impudence mr ozi sir. i just could not post in thread that is so last year
and yes, if i have beer now i will be borderline alcoholic as it will be on my cornflakes!
No need to suck up to him he's a poohflinger so he only gives infractions 1 point at a time, you will probably be dead before you get enough to get banned.

see what bb has working in his favour is that i know him and like him.....do i know you?
i should also mention that infractions are so last year...temp bans are like beating someone up through a phone book....no evidence for the same result.

[x] Had a terrible start to the new year
[x] Thought my life was coming to an end and cannot beat poker any more
[x] Fought on regardless

Happy New Year, guys. 2010 is going to be a new year for me. I am going to channel all the motivation from my past attempts to stop being an idiot and just play well, play often, and play rationally. With luck, I will stop tilting and post some more videos and such.
Good luck to everyone on doing the same. As for running good or bad? Who cares. That's not in our control. Some will run good, some will run bad. In the end running good would be great, but I don't want to think about it any more, there is no help in hoping to run good, but there is in hoping for better concentration and resolve.
So in short, good luck, and have a great new year. Fight on.
Despite the LC/NC nature of this thread, I need some strategy comments:
Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is UTG+1 with J J 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, CO calls $2, BTN calls $2, 2 folds
Flop: ($6.75) J T Q (3 players)
Hero bets $5, CO calls $5, BTN folds
Turn: ($16.75) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks
River: ($16.75) T (2 players)
Hero bets $8, CO calls $8
Thoughts on bet sizing? When I got flatted I felt awful for losing value, obv. I was hoping to induce a c/r from a 1 card straight, and I figured a nut straight would def shove if he has AK in his range (probably not that often) I realize a good player will just flat river, but I didn't give credit for that, and I was, as above, playing something like 55/45 on that particular table (over maybe 20 hands). Should I have 2/3, potted river, or maybe slight over bet thinking a K never folds... would a K fold to an overbet, and if so, does that not make overbetting w/ a K to bluff out chops profitable? Thoughts?

I could deal with the turn ...... river bet is considerably too small.

I think I am making it 18$~20$ on the river. A good player will never raise you on this river with a straight because he knows that he can only get called by better hands or possibly chop. a PSB sightly overbet looks like you are trying to buy the pot taking advantage there's 4 to a straight or avoid a chop. Most villains won't fold a K, AK, QT,JT,T9 in this spot and will probably pay you off.
Two thing that I'm never doing in this situation are checking and betting small to induce. I just pot it or even overbet and look for real fat value.
Jesus Christ my feet hurt. The strip was a zoo. I drank a margarita that was bigger than me, almost. And I rode in a limo on accident. Trip report, no pics, so I'll gtfo and go to bed.
Guh.
