1-tabling micro-7stud8 is very therapeutic tho, you get a chance at some biiig 30BB+ pots and just keep afloat getting halves until your scoop arrives. I have made my last deposit on FT ever and will get even lifetime on there this year. Fifty cents at a time if need be.

So guys, I'm running at 2.5 big blinds/100 over almost 17k hands. How many more hands should I play before I commit suicide/give up poker?

(Jokes aside, even according to my all-in EV, my bb/100 is only around 6, and afaik 10 should be a good rate? Or is 6 okay as well? I mean I give up some of the winrate from having more volume, so I don't think it's too terrible, but still...)

Ro, 5+BB/100 (big bets = 2*bb) is pretty much crushing, 3-4 is ok. Anything less is kinda a marginal winner, but over 17k hands it is possible for a 6BB/100 winner to lose money etc etc so I wouldn't worry about it too much. It looks like you can definitely do some things to improve your winrate though. Watch some videos or something and try to see what you could improve.

Ro,

I felt the same way last week, I put in 20k hands and I wasn't getting anywhere. However you just got to keep at it, keep reviewing, keep playing, minimize your losses and be patient.

Since then I'm on a 30k upswing and my confidence is alive and well again. Its amazing how much you get mentally screwed over constantly in this game. You need a good support system IMO, I have a coach and a good friend that is a far superior player.

Whatever you do, don't lose track and get away from your gameplan.

I currently have a symbol that really stands out and I think it attracts too much attention. I want to go blank but when I go to the change image option, it only allows me to browse to pick a new picture, I don't see anything for nothing.

What can I do to get a blank avatar again?

hehe. you scare easily. xmas was over so i turfed the xmas avatar and couldnt think of anything else (ive seen this one done before and yes im aware that it works better when using a profile that just so happens to have a grey background so it all blends in).

i'm putting in a fair amount of volume (compared to normal anyway).
Played about 4.5k hands at NL5 and 35 SnG's and i'm up........99c. woohoo, 2009 sucks so far lol.

Ah well, can't win every month.

why do i never know when to stop in a session?had a long day at work and decided id only play a short session, that is until i find some juicy tables and get up 3.5BI. was tired and thought, but no i decided to play on and ended up even over the session.

Ah well learnt my lesson. Dont play when not on A game. I was until i got tired and then chased loses.

I'm going home tomorrow - kinda tilting but whatever. Back to inconstant interweb.

Thought I'd be able to put in volume while I was here. Quite the opposite. So maybe its a good thing, going home. At least in terms of poker.

Also - its the FIFA player transfer period. I can play again! woot woot.
