this the designated LowContent/No Content thread for beginners and is where you can post stuff that isnt worthy of its own thread (Hint: if you think it isnt worthy then it probably isnt) and for general random community discussion topics. just keep poker strat to a minimum, mkay

Is it just me, or did everyone suddenly turn crazy spaz aggro? Every time I 3bet anyone they totally freak out on me, like I looked at their girlfriend's tits or something. I mean, not that I mind too much since my adjustment is to just 3bet less and with better hands for value, but some of this is just ridiculous.

Like this from a platinum VIP no less--yeah VIP status doesn't equal poker skill, but come on. He's c/r shoving tens here? Really?

Their play is actually not that bad if you are 3betting the button a lot, cbetting often and they are doing this with some hands like some of gutshot/over/bdfd/weak pair/fd/oesd/etc as well; something that has some equity when caled and they can get you to fold air/weak hands with. Then this play balances their range to include value hands also so they can stack tptk when they have a weak overpair on a low board etc. (in this case it is a little thinner but with history AK/Axcc/99/77 can call here). I prefer it in position though vs an overaggro 3bettor in the blinds.

Kindof an off topic rant, though because I am 99% sure noone does this at nl25.

I had just sat, so I was a complete unknown to him, which I think makes turning his tens into a bluff on the flop against an unknown a completely horrible play. But I keep seeing these aggro monkeys that think that if they just bet enough, you can't call--so I snap called.

(At least I don't think he was value betting his tens there. If so, even more horrible play.)

Well if those NL cry babies (you know who you are ) can post hands hands they lost and whine, I should be able to post a legitimate, seriously rigged, bad beat. On line poker is definitely rigged.

this isnt new imo. i see this all the time and sometimes even do it myself to get you to fold your overcards (or if you call thats good as well) and so i dont have make another decision for the rest of the hand when a AKQJ turns)

oops, my bad...no strat in this thread!

yes but COs only mistake in that hand is his stacksize and his preflop play. rest is entirely standard

01-11-2009 , 01:32 AM
Got another one i'd love to post.....but I can't really see the point anymore lol, nobody really cares anway.

I will say that i'm starting to get stressed out with cash games though. 4.5k hands and i'm pretty much breaking even. Running about 4 BI's below EV aswell. Hope this downswing doesn't last too much longer

ORLY?

Please come shove on me more, wait that sounds bad, but no, please do, but not fer reals, but like on the site, you know what I mean?
01-11-2009 , 04:35 AM
Hang in there Chachava, just make sure you keep playing solid and looking over some of your hands, I just had a 10k breakeven stretch then went on a 2k heater, .33 bb/100 over 10k then at 2+bb/100 after 12k.

Bad beats are always fun, lost a hand after flopping quad 9s tonight on a 9910flop, guy turned and rivered aces for better quads

[x] I have been playing like a spaz recently
[ ] I was at your table playing like a spaz recently
[x] I knows what you mean but when youve been been humourly-banned once its just not as funny the second time.
[x] In that TT hand our hero has overcards enough for it to be +EV imo for villian to shove unless of course hero is a nit and i give you credit for not being so
