Lucky i have the best gf in the world anyway and i can just tell her to trust me and she does
I seriously spend less time playing poker than all my mates do playing (insert random cpu game here)... sigh...
in b4 did u try hitting her and we are degens and all we do is hookers and blow etc etc.
I know
Charity POKER tourney at work, they do it every 2 or 3 months. Last one was just before Xmas, so it wasn't held at work, so people were drinking (I was anyway lol) and chit chatting more than usual.
Because I'm a know-it-all, I start getting asked - "So do you actually play poker, like not at this charity thing, like other places and stuff ?" etc etc
So I say, yeah, I play online. So someone pipes up -"yeah I do, I have like 100K chips on facebook poker" .... So I say, "no no no, I play for actual money".
"Well where is the actual money then, you can't see the people you're playing"
"My money is on poker sites on the internet. I have it there, like it's in a bank account, and that's the money that I use to play with. The people I play against do the same"
- I'm getting strange looks now.
"How much money have you got there ?"
So I tell them. Period of silence.
"Why don't you just put it in your bank, you might lose it all".
"That's not how I look at it"
"Aren't you scared you're going to lose all your money ?", "Are you addicted to gambling then ?", "Do you count cards or something ?", "My uncle had this system for roulette", "So if I were to give you £100 you could double it for me ? Can you show me how to double my money ?" etc etc
HTG. FFS. You know when you wish you'd never opened your mouth ? I'm pretty sure they reckon I'm some kind of casino / horse racing degenerate now. Whatever I said, I could just see that it didn't compute by the puzzled look that they had that didn't go away ...
