It's over.

Went the distance and the judges awarded it to Klitschko.

News.

If you put these guys up against each other ten times Hayes might win once (imo).

You mean person, trying to take advantage of someone in BQ!

Course I knew, I was just being stupid. Thanks JJ (although I already knew)

MMA > Boxing.

Not enough kicking in boxing imo. Boxing's a bit long sometimes but the lighter weight divisions can deliver some interesting fights.

They were talking about it a post or so above

Although I did think it was going to be starting around this time or an hour later until I realised it was on at the 11th round. It was hosted in Germany so it was night, if it was in Vegas or Madison Sq then it'd probably be around this time or later.

It's the big gloves that are the problem imo. If the gloves were just those small ones the MMA fighters use then the fight would be moar interesting and safer.

MMA is way>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> safer than boxing because the minute you get shaky in an MMA fight it's over.

Technically in boxing you could be knocked down 24 times by blows to the head and be allowed to get back up. Pretty ****ing dangerous.

I thought the big gloves were better because it allows people to protect themselves better. If they did boxing with small gloves then they wouldn't really be able to cover up. But the KO and standing count is stupid, they should do it like MMA except people could easily get short changed. Or maybe they can do a max # of knockdowns before it's no longer safe to carry on. Head trauma for over 30 mins is just an insane amount of time and it's surprising there's not more long term injuries.

The big gloves sustain the fight unaturally imo. A punch which would normally knock someone out is kinda dulled by the padding of the glove. I mean would a person rather be punched quite hard in the head 100 times or knocked out once. The former will do far more damge imo. Shaking the brain inside the skull repeatedly leads to brain damage.

Yep, totally brutal. Just because we're used to seeing it we kinda think it's normal.
