I folded tho! wait for a better spot and all that.

Villain was running at 21/0/1.0, me at 14/4/- after 28 hands (not sure how much stock to put in results tracked on MTTs on PT - ?? Maybe another thread)

I guess I want to know what my odds actually are here given villains possible holdings.

Instacall. In the very unlikely event he has a set or aces you don't have odds but aren't in particularly bad shape. If he has something like kings you're slightly less than even money and easily have odds. Plus he can have hands like JT, KQss, etc etc.

Also 28 hands is not enough to judge VPIP and PFR accurately, much less AF.

Folding sucks. You have a ton of equity here especially since its a $2 donkaments and people will show up with far less than sets, two pair, etc. Get it in and feel good.

dammi that sucks my instinct told me to call but I've been trying to work on that part of my game.

I've been calling river shoves etc with a good pre-flop/ flop hand but its no good to a calling donk by the river, yet I've been tilt-calling.

Thats why I folded, dammit its hard to get it right!

Lettme guess! He got there?

I hope you see where you went wrong. (Even if your ONE pr held up, (which I doubt) that was a pretty bad play doc.)

You know what? I really wish I did. But I don't. After beating my pub game for a year i thought i'd do well online but i'm beginning to realise I really dont even know the basics...

So, even if it is obv, what should i have done?

Bet more on the flop. 300 or so.

Bet the turn hard and get it in.

ty.

after thinking about it i realise this is an obvious, basic play. but i'm still struggling to get these basic plays.

ah well, keep playing, keep learning. beginning to realise its a process that may take a long time to get to be a winning player...

Definitely bet turn for AA hand.

AJ is call although i've been known to lay it down, depends on what stage tourney is at and how high stakes are.
