I am struggling to figure out, what style of poker I should adopt to maximise my hourly WR.

ATM I play SH cash ($25nl) and have tried a mixture of playing very tight + agressive, (in comparison to the 6max strategy that is advocated all over the world) and playing very loose (being very aggressive and generally wild).

I am wondering, if it is more practical, for someone who wants to make ~$1k/month playing cash games, to grind 4-8 tables of 6max playing relatively optimal TAG style, or is it just easier to play a ton of tables and be a complete nit?

I feel like I could just play 24 tables on Stars, running 10/10/20 and turn ~$1k relatively easily @ SH cash, or am I delusional? People seem to be so intent on being loose and playing lots of hands/stealing, re-stealing + 3stealing, that I can just sit there and live of steals/fish? Or is it necessary to be looser and consistently adjusting at a fast pace?

I do adjust even when I am playing like a nit, opening/tightening ranges, adjusting bet sizing, etc.

I'm really having trouble making up my mind!

Playing 10/10 will not help your game in the long run, you will have difficulty moving up. Id maximise Win rate not $ an hour at this level. Also what do you mean playing loose, 24/20, 40/10 etc? playing LAG helps your game but you cant go from one extreme to another easily or you will get value towned to death. Best way to become looser is to slowly add more hands to your arsenal especially on the button.

Learn to adjust to the tables and hand read and you'll be glad a year from now.

imo is rackeback pro on nl25 a complete wast of time. build a roll for nl100 at least and if you beat that, you still can consider staying there...

Its not a dilemma at all. Udbrky has it spot on, better off developing your game now and trying to move up

I used to play 50nl on Full Tilt with rakeback a few years back. I took a 2.5 year hiatus. But honestly rakeback was just a sweet bonus on good months and a nice piece back when i was down. I relied on trying to play good poker as my method to build my roll. I was only 5 tabling. admittedly the game seem a lot rougher these days.
