Curious as to how the advantage of being Gold as opposed to Bronze is actually monetized. For instance when I reached Silver I believe it said up to 20% more than Bronze. How am I receiving an increased "rakeback". Is it that I gain VPPs faster at Silver than bronze, or is it when you go to cash them in you get a better exchange rate?

The VPP/Starscoin/Steps system is purposefully confusing. See the third graphic on https://www.pokerstars.uk/vip/status/

Gold Stars apparently earn between 18-25% rakeback, depending on how many steps they complete. Bronze gets 8-9%.

Other sites are much more generous.
