I noticed that you've had your account since 2008, so it seems you're no stranger to poker. Could you share more about your past experiences, such as the games you've played and the results you've achieved?

Regarding Pt4, it's a valuable tool for reviewing hands and analyzing your gameplay to identify mistakes and areas for improvement. Have you already set up a nice HUD ? If not, I also use Pt4, and I can assist you in creating a customized HUD or provide you with a pre-made one if you're interested.

You asked about joining a study group, and I believe it's a great idea. Making friends in the poker community and seeking guidance can significantly boost your progress as you embark on your poker journey. Consider joining multiple study groups for different perspectives and insights.

When it comes to learning resources, I'd advise you to avoid relying solely on outdated books, poker is continually evolving. For starters, the MicroGrinder course you mentioned can provide you with essential foundational knowledge.

At NL2 with a solid range of tables and some basic postflop strategies, you should be able to grow your bankroll and beat the limit. After accumulating a substantial number of hands, using Pt4 can offer valuable insights into your statistics and areas that could use improvement.

As for choosing between cash games and tournaments, it's a matter of personal preference. Cash games offer flexibility, allowing you to play for a short time and leave whenever you want. In contrast, tournaments require more time commitment and patience, with potential big wins but delayed results. Ultimately, it depends on what style of play suits you best.

While I don't consider myself a mentor, I'm more than willing to assist you by answering any questions you might have. Feel free to reach out if you need any help.

Best of luck and enjoy the grind!

I'm in a similar position to OP. Would you be able to offer some assistance on where to find good study groups? I don't want to pick a bad one and end up further ingraining some bad habits. Thanks in advance!
