PokerStars and FTP have the most players, so start there. Between these two, only FTP offers rakeback.
Rakeback is a system whereby you get a portion of the money taken from you refunded. Every pot you play has a small percentage scooped by the poker site, this is how they make their money. Some times offer you a percentage of this money back, to entice you to play on their site. If you win a $100 pot and had $3 of it taken by the pokersite, you could get back 80 cents of that. It adds up after awhile, no reason not to take it, it's free money being given back to you afterall.
To get rakeback you must use a rakeback affiliate. I dont know if there are rules about listing them here, so I'll just say google one, find whatever most people are using. My rakeback partner auto-deposits all the rake i've earned in a week directly to my poker account. It's nice getting $5-$10 put in my account for nothing, considering the limits I play. Back when I was donking around at midstakes I'd often get $50-$100 per week refunded, now thats nice.
Dont choose a site based on their bonuses, because if you hate the site or cant find any players you may never get much of that bonus. FTP probably has the most reliable/generous bonus. All other sites I dont really care about.
