How do you identify player types without a HUD?

How can you identify player types without a HUD? Some of the sites I use don't allow a HUD which makes it tough when trying to figure out if it's a TAG, LAG, nit, whale or maniac.

To go along with 64's correct answer, take notes.

Seriously, your question has only the one answer. Unless you are looking to figure out if a guy plays 22/19 specifically...... and THAT is (next to) impossible without a HUD.
