How do you identify player types without a HUD? How do you identify player types without a HUD?

How can you identify player types without a HUD? Some of the sites I use don't allow a HUD which makes it tough when trying to figure out if it's a TAG, LAG, nit, whale or maniac.

Thanks

You use your eyes and watch them, the same as you would do live

Obviously that's not a helpful answer... you've just wasted your own time.

To go along with 64's correct answer, take notes.

Seriously, your question has only the one answer. Unless you are looking to figure out if a guy plays 22/19 specifically...... and THAT is (next to) impossible without a HUD.

To add to this, stop getting too far into the weeds with numbers. You really don't need to worry about "is villain 22/19 or 26/15?", you just need a general awareness of what your opponents tend to do in certain situations.

thanks. Yeah I've been getting better with noticing if someones playing tight vs loose vs very aggressive (maniacs, whales, nits, and recs are very easy to detect although I really have trouble trying to classify the LAG vs the TAG player. I took a course and they gave VPIP and PPR for the TAG vs LAG but honesty what am I supposed to do with that? Especially when villain is in late position. It's like what's the actual difference?
