It doesn't really sound as if the whole group has the same viewpoint of playing poker. While it's not required, it can, and will, ultimately create some frustration from one camp or the other. Don't let their viewpoint cloud yours .. but also you can't expect everyone to agree with you 'just because'. The poker community loves it when a group of Players is shot taking. This keeps the Player pool fresh and the entries coming in!
You may not be able to change the way they think about their 'disposable' income .. but you can continue to discuss how to play the game. If these Players are both taking shots AND not really interested in learning or playing the game to create long term success, then I'm afraid you'll just eventually need to find a new group and hopefully that's possible. Perhaps you'll be exposed to Players that are more aligned with your thinking once you travel more. GL
1) I live in SEA country, you knew what the law of the country around here works, legal is illegal, illegal is legal like 1984's doublespeak.
2) No pool, just share an expense.
3) Yes, I have a time to build my personal bankroll in the way that poker player around the world do. I just don't like the way they're thinking about poker.
4) No, all of my winnings are mine.
