How do players work out an estimate of hourly rate in ring games? I use pt and wondered if it has to do with the bb/100 statistic?

It's in PT, in the "Player Summary" section (General tab, under main Texas Holdem tab).

u should be able to find $/ hour in the session tab.

or u could just take ur bb/100, work out how many hands u play an hour (usually about 80 per table), and then multiply

I should mention that I'm talking about PT3. I'm unfamiliar with earlier releases.

when i used pt3 it def have $/100 and $/hour function, either in sessions tab or the main tab

Depending on what you want to see there are several tabs with your hourly.

Winnings tab shows hourly for each day or month as well as overall
Sessions tab shows your hourly in a given session/sessions
General tab shows hourly for each stakes you have played
