Hi!

I am relatively new to online poker and the tracking software that's available.

Could someone be so kind as to explain, in Hold em Manager, what $ EV means, as some of the numbers on there look like Swahili to me!!

Thanks in advance.

in holdem manager it means the estmated value of what you shoulda won. so if you made more you are running good or above EV. if you are winning less than said amount you are running bad or below EV. HEM has a site and you should start there and read every thing you can.

What I was struggling to get is, if my All In EV is negative, does that mean I am playing shyte, or just getting my money in good and losing?

Your all in expected value is negative.

Expected value doesn't have anything to do with running good*.

So in theory, you're getting your money in bad. If your actual winnings are higher than your EV, you're "running good". And vice versa.

*In reality, you can run bad by getting more than your share of coolers or get it in against the very top of their ranges, which would lower your all in ev line.
