Met a newer player in the casino the other day that seemed very interested in getting better at poker. After chatting awhile, I gave her the 2p2 address, and suggested she start her education in the beginner section and branch out from there. In perusing this forum a bit, there's not a lot of threads specifically for beginner beginners.

Post me some links to your favorite threads/resources for brand new players. The threads that you wish you had read when you were first starting out. I've been away from here for a lot of years, so I'm not sure what's gospel anymore.

There is a sticky with some good threads up too (best of bq), but a lot of stuff is outdated. Unfortunately, BQ isn't really built as a poker learning path and is instead more a place for beginning and intermediate players to seek direct answers and advice.

With that said, liberal use of the search function can answer many many common questions newer players have as most of them have been asked many times before.
