WHAT ARE THESE?

They're programs you can use to keep track of your online play.

They maintain a database of the hands you've played and can do all sorts of cool stuff such as

* provide you with a 'no hiding place' record your $ won/lost

* allow you to filter your hands in more ways than you could probably ever want to (how do I get on with T9s when I cold call a 3-bet on the button after 2 players have already called? etc etc)

* display stats (in a HUD = heads up display) describing your opponents' playing style (how loose are they? how aggressive? etc etc etc etc) on top of the tables while you're actually playing

* allow you to 'replay' a hand when you're reviewing a session

* allow you to very easily get hold of a hand history should you want to post a hand on the forums (much easier than trawling through a huge text file from the poker site, looking for the one you're after)

Both are available on free trial. (If you want to know which is best, try both and then buy HEM see which you prefer.) The relative merits of each have been discussed to death in many threads. Use the search feature to find 'em.

Each has its own website.

Each has its own forums.

Good Luck.
