I know what you mean. We have a great plan that works for our company. We have about 40 seasonal retail locations, and to keep in-touch we get each location a cell phone. We still have a contract that allows us to cancel the service without early termination fees, so each April/May we get 40+ free phones, and then in Sept/Oct we cancel them all
When, as inevitably happens, phones get stolen, I just grab one of my stock pile of SIM cards, stick it in one of the phones left over from last year, and a quick phone call to at&t to xfer service and I send the replacement phone to the store. And if I'm running low on SIM cards I just ask for more and they send them to me
