So now that all the excitement has died down, I want an honest opinion from all the euros and other countrymen and women besides US. Do you really think Americans just as big douches as you see on tv, or not? Specifically, do we look like ******s for singing, chanting, and drinking in the streets after Bin Ladens death? I 'get' the outburst but only as a non-American, especially with it being off-the-cuff. I have to say I cringed a little when I first saw it on the news though.

That said, I still like you all , and **** Bin-Laden, **** Al-Qaeda, and **** all that they represent and the atrocities they carried out. I imagine, because I do not recall, that there were celebrations of a similar nature after 9-11 in another part of the world.

as for the celebrations etc i havent seen but it sounds rediculous to me. I can understand be happy the **** is dead but to celebrate like that i dumb imo, do people have nothing better to do. Surely a silent moment of respect would be more fitting than acting like it Y2K.
