Hand Review: Call or raise on the flop Hand Review: Call or raise on the flop

Hi all. Should I have called the villain's bet on the flop with my flus draw or was check raising the right idea?

I've seen recommendations that check-raising is a good play with a flush draw to maximize fold equity. On the other hand, he shoved in return. I called, having the right equity to hit the flush draw.

Should I have just called the flop bet? It's harder to get a lot of chips in OOP with an obvious draw though.

Don't die on the hill for every crappy flush draw in your range. The problem is that you can't draw to the nuts, and you can't beat bluffs. Call the flop, or raise-fold.

There's no way you have the required 35% equity (1.44/4.13) plus rake to call. You're either up against a made hand, or a stronger draw. Even against a super bluffy range you never have enough equity because you can't beat bluffs. Realistically you have like 30-33% max so it's not a huge mistake.

Fold pre. Paying almost 1 BB to play trash against 3 villains, no bueno.
Flop check fold. Again, you're 4th nut.
Against the shove, fold. You're just burning money.

He’s paying exactly 2BB preflop. Clear fold.

On the flop, PFA bets over 70% pot into 3 players. Sucks to fold a FD on the flop, but we’re not getting a good price and I doubt we have that much fold equity.

But at least our flush outs are good most of the time. Over the 100 hand sample, he’s raised only 7 times so we should assume a relatively tight UTG range which means his only FDs might be AK/AQ/KQ. Still, I doubt we have 35% against a range that’s mostly JJ+/77/AQ/QJs.
