So I'm a fairly novice player looking to improve. I played this hand at 2c/5c micros on 888 recently. Wondering if I misplayed it? Effective stack $5.63.

villain on button raises to 15
hero in SB 3 bets to 43 with Jd,Js
BB folds, villain calls
flop 3h,Jh,6h
I bet 72c (almost a pot sized bet), mainly to not give him pot odds to draw to a flush. he calls.
Turn comes 5s. Now I check, reasoning that the chance he has a made flush is now higher given his last call. He checks.
River is Qd. Now I bet half the pot, thinking that maybe he doesn't actually have a flush since he checked, and if he doesn't I beat his calling range. He shoves, and now I'm looking at ~30% pot odds to call.

The reason I called at the end, is I thought that he might not put me on a flush given my flop bet (most people wouldn't want to scare off the opponent in that situation), and if he doesn't then he might be semi-bluffing with say an overpair or lower set. Thoughts?

You flopped a set. Don't slow down OTT. In general, not trying to play for stacks when you flop a set loses you money in the long run.

going to agree with sixfour and Kurn
even if he did flop a flush you have 10 outs to a full house or quads
