I was wanting some input on a hand I recently played online in a $5.50 mtt turbo
on lock poker. I was in SB with AQ off with 9.5 BBs the guy in cutoff pushes a 13 BB stack in and I call he shows AK suited and I fail to suck out, It should also be noted this hand was on the money bubble. I had no prior experience with this player. I would appreciate some input on this hand.

You're under 10 BBs you had to make a move. AQ is strong looks like cutoff is going for a blind steal ends up with a bigger hand... nothing you can do.

I disagree because of the situation. Guy overshoved unless everyone behind him had less than 10bb so his range is probably AQ+, TT+. AQ Does bad against this range

I doubt even Hellmuth would fold AQ with a 10bb stack in the small blind. What are you waiting for, pocket quads?

It depends on blind structure, payout structure and fileld size as well.

I`m leaning toward a call as it`s a turbo, but if the field is large I`ll probably just fold and wait untill the money.

I think you guys that are advocating a call are wrong. If this was a STT I think I would agree that calling is correct, but in a MTT on the money buble the unkown villain is not pushing 13bb with a marginal hand. With AQ, I say raise all in from anywhere, but against a raiser you have to lay this down on the money bubble.

I'm saying that this villain is only going to raise all in the top 5% of hands as the widest range for 95% of people on the money bubble. Maybee 5% of the time on the money bubble you get a guy looking to exploit the buble situation but I think he would have raised to a reasonable 3x if that were the case.

Against top 5% of hands you have 37%equity Not good enough when you can just fold your small blind and wait for a better oppurtunity.

Villains range is WAAAAY higher than 5%, for good and bad players alike. This is a call, every time.

OK, if you want to factor in the bubble situation, then you can fold. It depends on how important it is for you to min-cash. If there are a few shorter stacks in the tourney, you can make the laydown, but you'll need a miracle in the next few hands to make significant money. If you want to WIN tourneys, you have to take a few flips along the way. A double up right there puts you in a much stronger situation. The best players will be especially aggressive on the bubble, because they know scared short-stacked guys will be folding. If the unknown guy was a strong player, he'd be pushing with a much wider range than premiums if he assumed his fold equity was through the roof.
I think OP may be guilty of results-oriented thinking. If he'd sucked out here, or had a better starting hand, would he be asking "Was this a bad call?". AQ is generally way too strong to be folding when you have 10bb.
