I'm considering moving to new zealand to grind online mtts. What is the future in being a online mtt pro? I will probably start at the $11 level with 250 buyins and work 20 hours a week. Rest of the time grinding online, fitness and spending time with friends. or the alternative is to grind online in Aussie on ignition and ACR

i think MTTs, finally after a decade are likely the best fornat for providers and players, regs and recs.

am kinda slow. wish i picked up MTTs more seriously like couple years ago.
was busy with spins that now provide roll for MTTs. so all good.

i love to MTT Select alot

gl on your journey.

What do you mean you're considering moving countries to play $11 tournaments?

With that "get real bro wtf" -caveat out of the way; I'm pretty sure mtts are super healthy and beatable if you put in enough work. Do you know that you're even a winning player or do you just assume you will be??

that's all irrelevant imho.

i mean one most think that things are thought thru if able to move countries, out down somewhat decent roll, rent and else.

anyhow like mentioned i also think that MTTs are well beatable, up to 11usd games probs even without putting in much work study wise.

imagine what can be done with actually some focus and study...

If you're already a proven winner over a real sample @11ABI on the mainly US sites you play on in Aus then you might find some success in the RoW pools but if you haven't already been winning significantly you're putting the cart in front of the horse and should figure that out. If the question is truly "are MTT's going away sometime soon?" the answer is no I don't think so, at least for another 10-15 years they should be around and populated. Unless something new and innovative sweeps up most mtt players in that time, which is entirely possible.

You would probably need 100k min to move to nz and play online mtts for a living this is assuming you are a winning proven player over a huge sample which I highly doubt considering you are asking such a dumb question..

MTTs will be soft and profitable for many many years to come. However if your plan is to "make it" in poker, then moving to an expensive first world country is really handicapping yourself. At minimum you should have 1, but preferably 2 years worth of living expenses already covered so that you can focus exclusively on playing and building your roll, without having to worry about withdrawing or how you're going to pay for food if you run bad. I can't stress how important this is. If you don't have living conditions already sorted out for 1-2 years you are doomed to fail. That's where going to a place with low cost of living will help.

Pretty sure MTTs are the softest form of poker, they also have the biggest variance, which keeps a lot of pros away.
Seriously though, the variance is insane!
