final table of mtt, 5 players left. I shove AJs 5 BB deep, chip leader calls 1/6 of his stack off with 25o (cause hes a ****) and makes a straight. thats about par for the course for me today.

I just won the afternoon $5.50 7-stud tourney at bwin! The players were mental patients. Early on, I picked up [9Q]9, which I normally don't get too excited about, but I raised it knowing there were substantially drunk players with low cards behind me who were very likely to call or raise with 8 high. Someone with a 4 up reraises, someone with a 6 up reraises that, someone with a 7 up caps. On fourth street, I catch a K, everyone else has total garbage boards (like 62 off, 48 off, 72 off) so I bet, raise raise capped pot. Next street I catch a J for [9Q]9JK, bet out, raise raise, capped again. On sixth I make my gutshot with a 10, [9Q]9JKT, so my board is terrifyingly scary and everyone else seems to have nothing much better than Q high. I bet, call call fold. Seventh I bet again, call call. Completely enormous pot that two people jammed every street until sixth. At showdown: I have my K high straight, one person has a pair of 4s, and one person has a pair of 6s.

My results this month in the $5.50 afternoon 7-stud tourneys at bwin:

2/2: 1st out of 18 players
2/3: 1st out of 22 players
2/8: 1st out of 16 players
2/10: 6th out of 15 players
2/12: 1st out of 18 players
2/13: 8th out of 10 players
2/14: 1st out of 14 players

Good luck everyone!

Had a great few last sessions, up $10 (I played NL2 btw) so 5 buy-ins in ~1400 hands. That's also including getting it in on the flop with 90% equity for the pot to be split (costing me $4 ) and a costly $4 bluff.

Much happier with my play now, still trying to chase a tournament win which is damaging by bankroll. Never seem to hit anything in tournaments (/moan), just don't get how to play the micro tournaments on stars - if you get dealt nothing it's impossible because you get called down so light!

Just about to enter the the big $2.20 (that's the actually name :P) with $5K guaranteed. It's 1am here in england so if I run good it could be a long night (I got in via a sat hence why I'm playing - sats for a $2.2 tournament, how poor am I).

#$#%ing @#$% fish @#$% freak drunk @##$ #@$% %#^$s!

Just lost to an idiot in the $11 shorthanded NLH, I shoved 88 on a 993 flop, get called by AQ.
02-14-2012 , 10:51 PM
gosh I made more money at NL5 yesterday and today than I had at NL2 in 6 months

I'm loving it
02-14-2012 , 10:51 PM
Busted out of the tournament in 1800th place :/. Top set cracked by a straight which crippled me then I shoved KJo for 1500 into a 900 pot (desperate for some chips) into a 899 pot, got called off 56 - rivered a 6. Tournaments hate me

Should really just stick to cash games, was trying to save up FPP points to buy something too (do people normally just use these for tournaments instead? not sure how good the value for money is in the VIP store).

Unlucky Mike.

Grinded some NL2 today. Had a few disconnection problems on 888 but ended up 1 buy in at the end of the session and finally cleared my bonus!

Roll back up

Gonna put some time into PokerStars. Lodge maybe 10k+ hands of NL2 before going back to 888.

Im quitting cash games. Cant take the ****ing muppets hitting one outers and never winning a flip. If i have AA vs KK the king hits if i have KK and the other guy has AK the ace hits. ****ing graph looks like a ski slop from these muppet ****tards.

Back to STT and MTT for me.
02-15-2012 , 03:09 AM
Hmm, we think on opposite ends Mike.

For me the suckouts on STT and MTT tilt me harder than anything in the world. In cash I know that I can reload and keep playing on this table because if he keeps chasing that 1 outer, I'm going to get my money back and then some.

Especially against a chip leader when you have roughly the same chips..I raise it up and he limp calls...

At least im not the only one XD but yeah sucks right.
Im down almost 10BI in the last few days, I only have 7BI left at 16nl before I have to move back to 10nl.. that will piss me off no end. :/

I dont think Ive ever moved down before, should be fun. I hope I can do it without tilting

GL today everyone.
02-15-2012 , 08:22 AM
Got tilted with bad beats like by AA<10 6 suited at 16nl..

So opened 2 $50nl games.

result...
+$100

Dont try this at home...

Also, I noticed that there is NO escaping from the bad beats. The russians are EVERYWHERE!

In this case I Won but still,

3 bet pot I have AKs in BB.
BTN checks I bet into dry board. he calls

turn is a brick so I bet again, he calls.

river is A, I bet he calls.

he shows bottom pair with j3off.

Oh and I lost $44 last night on my I phone testing out the app (fulllll of calling stations and fish but I only spend a few hours on 3 tables, and lost )
Im now back at $500 but Poker tracker shows $544 not much I can do about that.

I think im going to just jump into $25nl (after a week off so I dont tilt)
02-15-2012 , 08:37 AM
raikkonen, use FPP's to enter hyper turbo satelliutes to the sunday million. if you top 2 out of 6 you win T$11 - which you can sell on 2+2 for $10.95
02-15-2012 , 10:20 AM
I WILL NOT be jumping up to 25NL, good job I managed to calm down.

went off the rails a little bit.
Its hard work dealing with a downswing. No doubt Ill get a lot more practice with this in the future.

Ill stick with 16nl and continue to try turn my $500 into $625 before touching 25nl.

lucky escape I think

I might start playing the big $5.50 from time to time again too. It should feed my degen side I think. I do like a coinflip. And I quite like that MTT.

Dude, u cant play stations/fish this way. They dont understand scare cards and bricks, they haz a pair so they call.
Raise for value pre, then bet if u hit, not if u dont. Fish are passive so they will check back if they've missed

ive been drinking all morning and im playing 2 tables of 25nl

Well I fell into my old habit of playing HU Turbo Sit N Go's and have really dug myself in a hole. You would think I had learned from the past but nope. My initial 50 deposit onto Lock is now down to 20 and change. I really am not doing bad at NL4 but I just need to stay away from the HU Turbo's and I will be fine. I'm just as well off playing roulette instead of these Turbo's because it eventually turns into a coin flip. And if I lose a 2 dollar one I go play a 4 dollar one to recoup losses and so on...

Going to try and build this back up and not rush anything. Wish me luck.
