My mates just gave me their screen names (they recently changed them for some reason) so I can rail the sunday storm.

I didnt know they changed their names, I was curious as to why I couldnt find them via the client.

I was like,,,, I remember those names.... hmmmm

Turns out I have hundreds of hands of info on them and they have both been playing me in cash games with out telling me.

Do I tell them I have them tagged as fish?

So they purposefully changed their names so they could play you without you knowing it was them?

watch out for this.

I do this a lot still.
IF im on fishy tables I refuse to leave when Im losing because I KNOW I play better than the other guys.

dont do it.

If your losing then live to fight another day, instead of losing 10BI by continuing to play (either being sucked out on or playing badly) leave the game.

I hardly ever make a comeback that night on that table, but If I leave and start fresh another day then I win and I win well.

Its something a lot of people do and they shouldnt. playing too long when losing but quitting when they are ahead.

So far today 4 buy ins down. AA cracked by kk then again by AQs. KK cracked by J5s all in PF and again by 99. Open ended straight flush draws not making it in fact no draws making it.

Hard on days like these to say its variance especially when you are either break even or down for thousands of hands. Heads south work your way to even and bam down again. I know my side of the variance coin is coming I just want to see the graph head north for a while for a change.
02-12-2012 , 06:31 PM
I feel ur pain. Had a session like that earlier, AA and KK beaten by ridiculous hands, no draws coming in, not even hitting broadways when raising the limpers pre.

I figured no sense in playing on so just quit after an hour. Maybe tomorrow will b a better day?!

Kudos to me for stopping tho. This thread works :-)

Sitting at a nice 25nl table right now with a guy two to my right who is running 92/46 over about 90 hands. Another guy is 63/43 over 70 hands and both of them have 0 fold to 3bet. Then there's two guys playing 50/0, also calling most 3bets. Started of by losing a BI when I 4bet big with AKs and got 4 callers. Flop kame KT7 and 92/46 of course was playing T7o. About 50 hands later I'm now up 2BI for the session. Will not go to sleep for as long as these guys are around!

Wish I could have had a piece of this pot.
Can't export hh for some reason, so apologies:

2NL, FR, but one play sits out.
SB ($2.61)
BB ($1.12)
UTG ($2)
UTG+1 ($2.35)
MP1 ($0.85)
MP2 ($1.35)
CO ($1.12)
B ($2.61)

UTG posts blind and check, fold, fold HERO folds (3c, 2s), fold, call, SB calls
BB raises $0.04 <- aggressive move, bound to force out some limpers
UTG folds, CO calls, SB calls

($0.18) Flop comes: 6d, Jc, Qc

SB bets $0.04 <- another aggressive move!
BB raises $0.08!
Button raises $0.012.
SB calls
BB raises $0.16
B raises $0.20
SB calls
BB raises $0.24 <- 16c didn't chase them away, maybe another 4c will?
B raises $0.50 <- but no!
SB folds <- finally
BB calls <- a mistake? showing weakness

($1.34) Turn: 6s
BB checks <- possibly a trap? with another 6 on the board, anyone with a 6 would have a set
B bets $0.58 and is all in <- maybe a bluff?
BB calls

Pot is now $2.42, pretty juicy. Am looking forward to this showdown, must be too monster hands:

River is 3d.

B shows Qh, Jh, and wins $2.42 with 2 pair Q & J.
BB shows Tc, As and loses with, er...ace high?

Anyone care to tell me what mistakes BB made here?
02-12-2012 , 07:00 PM
NOOO! 92/46 busted and left! And 63/43 is down do 40bb. Oh, wait, he just doubled up with A3 AI pre vs. QQ. Nice! Now back to getting those chips!

Hahaha, while writing this 63/43 is up to 200bb. Doubled up again next hand with A2 vs. QQ. This will be sweet!

I would suggest FR instead of 6max, you can be even more nitter since you will pay less blinds to see more hands.

Gonna grind some now

Here is my day in a nutshell. 8 buyins down after my worst day of poker in history. Btw the limp was a misclick. Not that raising would have changed it

Not my day so far 2 lots of AK i thought were all in flips ended up being AK vAK and the rake won those hands.

$39 down EV line has me at $9 so im having a cooler day. Time for coffee and outside time then i can come back fresh to try and get the green line to turn around.

I'm pretty miserable at the mo. Just finished my second successive losing week. While unlocking another $10 of my bonus, I lost $14 on the 2NL tables. There was a fair bit of bad play by me, but also a ton of bad beats. I've run at 12 buyins below All in EV for the last 6000 hands. Variance is such a bitch.
