I play at FTP using (of course) dollars and live in the UK using ?.

I tend to deposit and withdraw with my visa card. On my bank statement it shows the exchange rate and also the commission charged by the bank which varies between about 2.7 and 2.8%. I assume that on top of that I lose out on the difference between the buy and sell price of the dollar (even if the exchange rate itself were static).

As far as I can see Moneybookers would charge me 1.75% for the currency transfer and ?1.50 to withdraw the funds.

So, for small amounts I'd be better off using the Visa option and larger amounts I should go for Moneybookers.

Have I understood this correctly?
