BTN opens and BB calls.
BB checks and BTN checks back.
If BB bets on turn, is this donk?

If it isn't, how do I call this bet?
It's not cbet cuz it's not 'continuation' bet.

A "donk" bet is a lead OOP into the preflop raiser.

Since the flop checked around, BB's bet OTT doesn't fit the definition.

As to whether or not you should call, how can anyone answer? You've provided about 1% of the relevant information from which to form an opinion.

OP meant 'What do I call that bet'. This is a terminology question, not a strat question

I guess, technically, it could be called a 'delayed donk bet', but this is not a terribly useful description, as I think the situation has changed sufficiently that the turn OOP bet doesn't really serve the same function as a flop donk bet.

Usually, I would define my bet here by it's intended function. is it a tickler, a blocking bet, a bluff, a probe?

Isn't this called a probe bet?

Betting OOP after the last aggressor checked the prior street is called a probe.

There could be a couple of definitions I think and certainly 'probe' is one of them. You almost need to know the desired effect of the bet to define it as a probe, bluff, value or block.

If there's no betting on the previous street I would think any OOP bet would just be a 'lead' bet unless by the PF raiser, then 'delayed C-Bet' applies. You could also call it an 'open' but we usually keep that term for PF action .. doesn't mean it wouldn't apply to all streets.

I think any Player OOP on the previous aggressor has a chance to 'donk', some in my reg group think that only the first Player OOP is truly a Donk. GL
