So I noticed that the miniftops main event's starting stack is 7.5k which means that in the first few levels you are playing very deep. Are there any particular tips when playing these levels?

Well, for starters, don't go broke w TPTK.

What else...

You can play more speculative hands preflop eg random two-gappers that can make the nuts, if you can get in cheap, because your implied odds are better.

If you make a very strong hand, build a pot right away.

You can do things like bet 2x the pot and still leave yourself room, either as a bluff or to build a pot. Same thing with river overshoves.

I'd stay away from random 3-street moves (fancy play syndrome) because they will be lost on most of your opponents.

Pocket pairs and suited hands increase in value somewhat because of implied odds, premium pairs and high cards lose some of their value because of reverse implied odds.

If you get AA you might have to get creative to get enough money in preflop to justify going broke postflop. If that doesn't work, just try to play a small pot unimproved.

That should get you started...

If you're not comfortable playing deep--don't! There's nothing wrong with playing super tight deep stacked and it'll save you from getting into a lot of tricky, marginal situations that you're not used to.

Ooops forgot to mention that... position becomes very important. Like you said, keep the pots small OOP. Be reluctant to fold your button preflop.

Eh, if he's even asking the question he's probably way ahead of his opponents.

Playing "super-tight" just denies yourself the chance to chip up with very low risk if you can hit a hand or two.

Ya, I agree. Don't get too carried away with calling raises with every single suited hand, connector, etc. You still need to play solid poker, as in you still want to respect position and play speculative hands multiway not HU. Make sure you don't spew when you flop one pair or whatever. It's easy to lose sight of what you're doing.

play more pots in position both by open raising more hands and by 3betting more.

play less oop and when u do try to keep the pot small by check-calling rather than by leading or check-raising.
