H1 seems fine.

H2 betting smaller with a weak range is a massive tell unless you're balancing it with strong parts of your range which at 10nl is just awful because you get so much value from the strong parts of your range. I think we should probably x/c or x/f probably the latter but people will either be bluffing too much or too little which means it should be easy enough to make it one or the other so that's a slight population read.

H3 I don't really see the point of overbetting. Just bet like 60ish, get calls from a lot of his range.

Slightly tipsy so may be dribble with regards to hand 2 which requires a bit more though.
Agreed with the bolded but I don't think we need to necessarily balance it with strong parts of our range, but rather one or two bluffs. I don't like it in this spot because a) we can't get value well and b) villain can adequately rep a decent range of hands by raising but when neither of those conditions are present, at the microstakes (25NL included, not sure about 50NL), betting that size with a pure value range is fine.

I think the problem comes from me implying that what I said is true because there are only two options and then disproving the second which is just rubbish.

IF you mean betting that size against a capped range and getting called by lots of his capped hands is fine when he just folds to bigger bets then ye. But that's kind of what I meant by balancing it with stronger hands, I didn't mean to imply if we bet smaller we need to throw in some of our strongest hands and that makes it ok.
12-27-2013 , 02:24 PM
Well, I don't think it can be too bad so long as we're acutely aware of what our range for doing that is.

h1 : std

h2: check riv

h3: size smaller

Yeah just realized that i wouldn't bet that small with a set there.
Need to put more thought into bet sizing in zoom. I posted this hand: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69...check-1401891/
And i was pretty lost with what sizing to use. What assumptions to make of unknown villain?
12-27-2013 , 02:32 PM
Does equilab provide the option to, when analysing villains range, split his range into a calling range, raising range and a folding range? I know flopzilla does, but equilab is free . It's just that working with pokerstove always gets a bit annoying because I can't give villain a specific range for calling, raising, folding or checking so working with pokerstove always gets a bit messy

That doesn't necessarily matter (see above), but yes, you should definitely think more about bet sizing. I'm thinking about removing my jump-to sizes from the bet slider but I'm worried I might develop sizing tells like that unless I'm careful.

dont jam river in h1

dont bet river in h2

dont overbet flop in h3

Why not? Don't underestimate the abilities of people to make ******ed calldowns at uNL. Don't think he has 9x here ever and sets probably donk or x/r at some point earlier (not because they should, because 'OMG SET').

H1 I like I bit bigger OTT and smaller OTR to let him call with his weak Kx or JJ/QQ

Presume you mean turn sizing on 3bet? Seems fine to me and only way you're getting stacks in

Today's games were ridiculously soft but I ran pretty poorly. Ended up 1.5BI down.

Hands from the day that I want feedback on:

      1) Should we stick the last $5.50 in OTR here vs a PSB?

        ^Too advanced for me, sorry
(In reference to TDA's post )

Jumped back into 10NL today, at FTP cos they offered me a bonus which might offset any losses.
Anyway, went ok. Breakeven-ish for ~500 hands then these two together.

Steal, flopped straight vs a fish. OK, JQ beats me straight up but is turn a fold here?

Well done Gamma! Wear that status with pride.

Also, subtle brag for myself but no where near as impressive as Gamma's. I am at $480, and ready for 16nl. Come@me, 16nl regs!
