hi to everyone. My aim is to level up my game in MTTs therefore I would like to ask you for feedback with regard to my stats.

Before you are going to share some thoughts (which I definitely appreciate), I need to give you a bit more context:

I have been playing poker for quite a while but I was losing money or being break-even. I decided to take a break from poker for 12 months and deal with my personal ego first. I believe this was the only solution I could implement as I had to step back and look at my approach from a different perspective. Back then. the vast majority of the decisions I made were under emotions, I was playing tired just for the sake of playing, I did not have any prep before the session, not to mention not reviewing the hands at all, thinking that playing is more than enough, not following the BM and chasing loses. I thought I was semi-pro (I am literally ashamed of typing this) but I can admit it was more gambling than playing poker. This is something I would like to change.

I started playing back again in June '23. Although the sample is minimal I already see significant changes in the way I approachthe game. I am more humble than ever and I know this is the beginning of my journey but please do let me know what your overall thoughts about the results are. If you believe I should 3bet more, what are the reasonable %'s. If you believe I burn money on BB (I know I am) what would be reasonable losses, If I defend SB too much what score should I aim for? It is difficult for me to analyse my own numbers as I do not have the referral point or at least not sure where to look. Your support would be really valuable for me. Data timeline: all history (including my gambling period).

I'm not completely certain about what mtt stats should be, but your stats are definitely super tight-passive. You should really take a look at some preflop ranges, because they seem very different to what you're doing now.

Also, for more insight here you really need postflop stats like cb and barrel stats, x/r, fold v cbet, etc. All these stats show is that your preflop fundamentals need work.

Thanks Duncelanas. Appreciate your time to leave a feedback about my results. I am aware it is difficult to assess my play based on the numbers only however you are not the first person who mentioned that preflop ranges is something I must look into. My understanding was that I play reasonable preflop range - how wrong I was!

I would start with your BTN range. A VPIP of 17.5% for that position is WAY too low. iIRC it should be more like 40%, especially for tourneys (gotta steal those blinds!) Also your PFR should be very close to your VPIP (applies to all positions not just BTN). For some of your positions (esp. SB) you have a pretty big gap which means you are likely limping/calling when you should be raising.

Thanks for the feedback stremba70! Cannot agree more that I am playing way too tight on the BTN. Although I am aware that this is reasonable to lose on SB and BB (only few players can play these positions profitably) however I am concerned about -56.79/100. Wouldn't you say this is wayy too much? What would be reasonable numbers I should aim for?

Obviously I will prioritise my preflop ranges first.

Thanks again!
