Hey all,

i have recently got pokertracker3 and have tracked 4-5k hands or so but i wanna start really looking into stats on other players so i can pick out good games... but i have no idea how

Is there a way to open tables on PS and have the hands imported into pt3? or do i have to sit with any player i want to log data on?

Once i have done this what constitutes an easy game? below 10/8/1.5 and above 22ish/20/5 seems about right for too tight/ too loose ranges that id sit with? or does it need to be more extreme?

Hope that makes sense,
thanks guys.

Pretty sure datamining on poker stars is forbidden. If you want to datamine go to Full Tilt.
If you are not from USA then you have many more choices.

Its forbidden? oops didnt know that but had heard it was not allowed on ftp AFTER i had posted original message, thanks for the heads up

i just sort of heard the term alot, knew what it meant ,and thought it must have been ok... i guess that option is out then,

but i am from australia, not america so if there is other options that are allowed/legal id love to hear them,

thanks for your time.

well how are you going to select your tables if i may ask?
do you use a tool or do search for the players in your database?
the last thing seems to take a lot of time.

datamining is allowed @ FTP, iPoker network (with tool) and the Microgaming network.

i guess i dont know now howd id select tables, i just thought id start with learning how collecting data on players and then when i am choosing tables check f i have any info on them...

it does seem time consuming now that im thinkining of it, and if its not really possible on stars i dont really have a choice anyway,

When selecting tables, I look for tables that have a high percentage of players going to the flop. This means the table is relatively loose and if I play a TAG game, I will dominate in the long run.

I also make sure that nobody at the table is too deep. (no more than 200bb).

This is on pokerstars.

I actually don't mind the deep games, but I hate when there are 2 or more short stacks on the table.
