Hi all,

I'm playing Fr NL7 Fifty50 but I found that it's also important on that level.

The colors I can use:

I was thinking 3 different colors fish, break even and winners. But I think I might be better of using some more colors and rules when to play at a table or not. There are players that have very low "average buy ins" and 'high average loss" they could be qualified lower than fish. Whereas players with high sample sizes that lose a little on average, could be winning players by rake.

I base my decisions on these stats:

I deleted the names to protect the guilty. I have their:
player rating: A***** would be highest and 2* the lowest
hands played
avg winnings
avg buyin
In The Money %

Any ideas on how to set this system up would be highly appreciated.

I use several different colors, some are very common and some of them are much rare.

Green = Fish. I use this color for both aggrodonks and loose-passive players with high VPIP and minimal PFR.

Red = TAGs. I use color for the multitabling regs with stats like 21/20. I categorize them in red as solid players until they prove me otherwise, which is what my next color is for.

Orange = Weak players. This color indicates me that the player is very weak and can be easily exploitable, it doesn't matter to me if his stats are 22/22/3, if I see him making questionable plays or spewing, I will color code him like this. Generally my orange players have a wider gap in their VPIP/PFR, like 27/12.

Purple = Nit. I reserve this stat for those who only play the very top of their range, I generally wait until I have at least 100 hands before I change their color from red to purple, their VPIP is usually lower than 10 (Like 5/3/1)

Yellow = Solid shortstacker. Most of the time, shortstackers are just fish, but every once in a while, a solid one will come by and I use this color to identify him, there really isn't much difference between the red and yellow color except that one is for shortstackers. This is the second most rare color I use since I probably find a good shortstacker in 1 our of every 100 players who do it.

Blue = Solid LAGs. This is the most rare color I use, especially when you play at the micros, in which there are plenty of aggrodonkeys who try to play LAG. Generally, I give these players a red color code until I have at least 150/200+ hands on them and some history. I use this color very rarely since most of the time, these players are losing players so I end up giving them the orange color instead. But every once in a while, there will be a good one who will fight for every pot and make life difficult, perhaps 1 out of every 500. Their stats can be something like 35/34/8 or even a wider gap like 47/33 because their style forces them to call a lot of pf raises in position.

My color system is pretty basic. I use it mostly for table and seat selection.

Red = tight reg They dont have to be winning player. Just tight. I try to avoid tables with lots of red
Purple = nit I like them on my left so I can steal. I want at least 200 hands and fold to steal above 80%.
Green = Possible fish but im not sure yet. Sit at their tables and get more hands
Blue = Fish

Thanks for you explanations and links guys. It's been really helpful. Your advice will be used in the in a later stage.

Now I'm only differentiating between winning and losing players so I know which tourneys to register in and which to avoid.

Thanks again for being so helpful.
