Hey everybody,

I'm just looking to see how everybody goes about doing their off the table hand or databass or session reviews. I don't really have a program or routine, and I'm looking to build one. If you have a particular routine and would like to post it- how you do what you do, what software you use, what you are thinking about, etc. I would appreciate it. Maybe there is an opponent you find regularly- what are you looking for against him, or your own tendencies?

I'm using PokerTracker4, Equilabs right now. No solvers yet.

Pick a subject you're struggling with.
Watch a video / read a chapter / ... about it.
Play a bunch of hands while actively trying to improve on that specific subject.
Tag hands that are difficult / confusing.
Review those hands.

without a solver, such as in plo5 my sessions involve

tagging every hand that was either a big win/loss or i didnt feel like i knew what to do on
then afterwards, i run the equity on the all in spots, play with variables /dead cards etc to see what changes / do range combinatorics ,and get a feel for what kind of outs i have in general / frequency people have it / bluff frequencies

then i do IF/THEN/OR think through's on each decision & sizing on every street

like IF I have AAxx and the board is QJT
do i have good enough equity to bet/stack off =no
do i have good enough equity to check call = doubtful
do i have poor enough equity and no blockers to nuts = check fold
do i have poor enough equity and good blockers = bluff hand

id be weighing between bluff bet and check call, then assess which one is more meritorious
after deciding my best bluffs here would be KK or AA, and deciding i have a good bluff hand - i think through sizing

we know any straight isnt folding, so how do i risk the least and take it down vs the rest of combos:
DOES he call without a straight for 1/2p? 1/3p? fullpot?
how would i play THE nuts here if i did have them , for balance

i'd be 1/3 pot with nuts a lot, AND im definitely gonna get ATC to fold , thus i would cb 1/3pot OTF. Then i would go through the whole process again for next action, until im through the hand and feel i have the "optimal play/solution"

SO yeah just tagging hands logically deducing optimal play /running equity /combinatoric #s ,so its intuitive in future
often i do it with a friend or two on cam2cam

AFTER a losing HU session i just throw stuff while yelling " HOW CAN HE ALWAYS FIIING HAVE IT?? "
rinse and repeat
