Against what types of villains do you want to call/raise/fold to a 3 bet when you're holding small - mid pocket pairs?
6 max btw
Kind of a general question, I can post hand histories if needed for examples...just looking for some ideas. Any help is appreciated or links to resources, thank you.

Basically never call. 4-bet if the dynamic between the two of you warrants it, but against most opponents in most situations just fold.

I've given up most small pairs unless i have great position and a good sample on people. I play FRR and set mining works great, but only when it happens. And most of the time the good players catch on. But like I said, if you have a good read, sometimes you can spot someone with AK-AJ and win a small pot.

You want to be in position and have very deep stacks. You are set mining so you want stacks at least 15x the size of the raise.
Example. Blinds $1/2 you raise to $6 and villain 3 bets to $25. It costs $19 to call. I would want effective stacks of about $300 to call.
