That little red line mocks me. I hate little red line.
Last 3 days:

Equity adjusted - +37.71 (23.1BB/100)
Actual earnings - +61.74 (41.7BB/100)

Add in 13 tourneys at 85% ROI for a $20 net.

I guess we think of things in terms of the long run for a reason. Go go gadget Omaheater. I am absolutely petrified of how badly this run is going to come to a screeching halt. Expect tragically hilarious downswing graph with sklansky bucks in the shape of a middle finger in about a week.

Gina--

Keep your chin up. You've still made a lot of progress, and I'd bet you'll bounce back faster than you think you will.

All my best, and good luck to you and everyone else,

Gina, how would this work; a "race", I mean? Would this be a type of prop bet thing?

Tell me more?

Thanks

seems like I've hit a rock or something, as I can't get past $20.

I deposited ten about a month and a half ago and i've just been grinding up, I was up at 30 at one point, tried my hand at some SNGs with an okay amount of success (I won the first one and got 4th in the next two, I suck at bubble play apparently). And now I have just spewed off pennies until I'm back down at 20. Its like I've hit a wall. Any suggestions?

01/02 is so god damn frustrating sometimes. there are a lot of maniacs who will call anything, and while I try to play good poker I just dont have the roll or the balls to make these idiot calls.

It's frustrating, I know. Seems like you luck in to AA or KK in position, and either the board somes all one suit (not yours) or they have two pairs with J2o. At least it seems that way with me.

That's what we remember. We seem to forget all the times we suck out on someone else, or got it in with the second best, or misclicke, and got lucky.

I look back at my PT stats, and you know which hands make me the most money? AA, KK, QQ, JJ, in that order. AKs is up there too.

So, I have to think I'm playing my big hands correctly at least 80% of the time (I still can overplay them sometimes) and hope that variance will even out.
02-28-2008 , 10:18 PM
I'd also like to grind up to like 70 bucks so I could buy PT. Stupid trial thing ran out. Ugh

I just got it...it's all F'ed up. Says I'm down a lot more money than I am, and basically never has me above break even, when I've tripled up at one point and I'm now 2.5x up from the beginning. Hm...
02-29-2008 , 12:27 AM
Got it fixed. Strange. Just had to reimport, maybe it got confused.

This thing is way sicker than v2.

Hi, I'm a long term lurker who has been doing a similar challenge.

Party Poker asked me to start with $25 (free!) and then build it up as far as I could take it - currently at $172.

In return, I write a piece for their blog one every 10 days or so.

It's been a grind up to now but hopefully the pace will pick up soon!

Check the Party blog out, or my blog for all the posts.

Just bumping this thread back to the top, curious as to how Gina is doing (and sputum)

My current BR is sitting at $500+, after a little downswing and cashing out about $700 or so. Started Jan 21st with $30.
I haven't been putting in nearly enough time and I really need to start doing that again, the past few days have been either no poker at all or just a few 4-table sessions here and there.

Man this thread inspires me I started with $16 on PS and have it at $27 now. I am trying to run it up a lot.

I never quite made it to the 1k playing online. I made it to about 985, then withdrew 950 of that to play with in vegas. I've now created a new thread (building a br from 35), and am running it up again.
you should come join in and post your progress.

I've been reading this post for a few days now, and I feel embarrassed by some people's success stories. Not too long ago I ramped up my $2.20 br to > $160 over two months then cashed out to $30. A month later I am still <$50. Some people's stories are just fantasy to me. I can't get a long-term groove on, but I'll keep plugging away.

Great thread, very inspiring... I had $6 left the other day after only 1 disastrous day at SNG's. I sat with $1 at 6 .01/.02 tables on stars (first attempt ever at multi-tabling) & after my first ~4k hands I'm at $51. I can't wait till I can transfer some money & get poker tracker....
