Building a BR from 20 dollars - Page 14 - Beginning Poker Questions

Started at 2NL. I moved up quickly(probably faster than I should have, but ran good when I took shots). 1K hands at 2NL, 12K hands 5NL, 15K hands 10NL, 40K hands 25NL.

Started 50NL yesterday.

Took 1 buy in shots at 5NL and 10NL when I had 7 buy ins for each, up to 25NL when I had 10 buy ins and was pretty lucky to win right away at each level. Slowed down at 25NL, only moved up to 50NL when I had 20 buy ins for it.

I start taking poker seriously (found 2+2) around the 3500 game (I believe that was some time in January) with a $50 BR.

I started playing hold em 4 months ago and as of this week i broke even at .01/.02 over 10,000 hands!I may not be able to do what yawl do YET and this may not be the coolest comment ever posted on here,but i am tickled with my progress.

that's ok.. breaking even is better than what most people will ever do in poker.. join the current br thread and join others building their roll from nothing

i am starting this week with 33$ and trying to make it up to 300$ within a week

i have a question i was wondering how do you guys make those charts?? what program do you use? or did you draw it yourself?

Feel free to post there with updates. I'd recommended dropping the X amount of money in a week goal. We make the graphs with either pokertracker 3 or Hold Em Manager. You can google to get their websites. Both have free trials.
