Build a BR part 3 - Page 7 - Beginning Poker Questions

I'm in, started with $20 on PS september 10th. I was up to $92 and blew 50 bucks last night, whoops. I'm back up to $65 today. I mostly play 6.50 18 SNGs and cheap MTTs though I play some 10nl cash, which I know is outside what I should be playing at this roll but man less than that kills me to play. I also don't multitable alot because I find that my misclicks when screens popup on me costs me more than it's worth lol.

lost a few $ playing sng's.. and got bored but wanted to play poker.. so I loaded up some 10cent 360s and played shove/fold the whole time.. took 2nd in one for $6... was still tilted cuz I was 3 outted hu

Best advice, forget the $1 don's. Why? Simply the rake will kill you. Play ABC poker @ 2NL and print money, move to 5NL and repeat. I know, I have almost 100k hands @ 2NL for chits and giggles.

played 12 tonight, could tell it wasn't my night after some bad beats..got out of there early. I don't get tired of grinding cash games, but these DoN are killers. It's robot poker, and it gets boring. I might mix in NL2 when I get to $30

$386 --> $370 ... a cooler (QQ<AA aipf) and a bad beat wiped out the small profit that I eked out over 2 hours ... sigh. Always tomorrow though (hopfully I won't get rivered repeatedly like I did tonight)

Do you guys use PT3? My free trial expired and the 90$ fee is holding me back. It's like going into the hole while playing for pennies. I have 9k hands on my free trial and I really liked PT3, but it sucks to think I'm going down before I even go up.

Yea it tracks 2NL. I just went and re-read the description and yes it does seem a little misleading.

"Limited to $0.10/$0.25 NL"

It should really say something like tracks up to $0.10/$0.25 NL. HEM Micro tracks up to $0.25/$0.50 NL so if you are playing 25NL or 10NL I think HEM may be better if you see yourself moving up soon. But if you are playing 2NL now and starting off with a ~$40 bankroll I think you will have plenty of time before you need to worry about not being able to track 50NL. And when that does happen it is only a $50 upgrade fee, so essentially one buy-in.

Made up half of what I lost on Sunday on FT (a whole $10, big whoop...) one more day to clear the Take Two bonus, and shift funds back to stars... where I will join icewolf at 2NL. *)

My project is to beat the level, but it'll be nice to clear some FTPs along the way.
