I heard its alot less then reg SNGs b/c the variance is alot less if you are playing them correctly.

dont play 1 dollar don. its worse than watching paint dry. Also, there are 4 same players playing on the same table. I think its swarming with eastern euro bots.

If you can beat normal sng you might be better sticking with them and just not tilting it off. otoh dons might give you a different perspective but if you know you can beat normal sng get enough of a roll for them and try dons with any excess would be my plan.

But it's up to you

I recommended the DONs not for their entertaining play (sarcasm) but so OP won't go bust, I mean $20 isn't a lot.

I'd play them until you have 100 buyins for the 45 mans or w.e. game you want to play (obv you can have less if you are playing games that have less variance)

I would def. go bust playing the don's... I despise them. 2nl ftw imo.

For the record.. $20 isn't my entire roll..just what I have on stars.. and I'm continuing gina's tradition of having fun building up a roll from scratch with others... so anyone else that's in the same boat.. jump in and have some fun with it... talk about your strategy for building, brag about big days, bitch about bad beats.

Tried playing some don's.. remembered I hate them.. ended up down $10... decided to switch back to 2nl, and won 6 buyins in like 400 hands and finished the day around $22. Goal is to be at $100 by the end of the month.

You should move up when you have about $100.

I went to 5nl at $60 - worked fine for me, so you will probably be fine.

Anyone in for this feel free to add me to skype @ yimmeh08, would be nice to chat with other BR builders thru this for some motivation.

dont have skype but am on AIM at Hndasiguy. I have been working at building my bankroll from 30 dollars at full tilt. Started five days ago playing .1/.2 NL up to 53.25 right now. Also doing the same at Cake with 30 dollars playing .2/.4 NL and up to 38 after today. Would love some motivation and friendly competition in this thread.

Started 2 days ago with $.01 and 200 FPPs in my account. Played a 100 FPP Double Shootout hyper-turbo to the Sunday 1/4 million and got one of the 5 seats. I then un-registered and took the $11 in tourney dollars. I have since played and cashed in 5 $1 DoN SNG's.

Current bankroll: $10.01
$5.35 T$
106.48 FPP's

Lets go go go!!!!!!!!

PS bankroll: $14.15
$2.80 T$

Shortstack 4 tables and shove 66+ and AT+. Once you have $5 buy in for 100BB's at 2 tables and grind.

Also forget the hyper turbo's, they are just gambling. You have to suckout like 18 times just to make it to the final table and win 8 cents.

if you don't mind losing it just sit at a 2NL table with it if you are good enough to beat 2NL handily anyway
if you do mind losing it cash it out

Started my bankroll grind 3 days ago now, just getting ready to play for the 1st time today. Started with $91.andsomechange after giving 7 2 a try having never played it. Currently at $131.90 at 10NL 6(max) after 2004 hands, havent been able to play as much as I would like to with 2 of my kids in 1st and Kindergarten and my 2 girls in dance class...been a BUSY week.

I know not properly rolled for it but I am actually. If I ever had to I can just deposit more and have it available instantly with eChecks on PS. Just wanted to keep my deposit as low as possible since I can always add more later IF needed. Going pretty well so far.

Essentially breaking even for the month after last night, BR=$335

Starting a session now, gogogogogogogogo
09-15-2009 , 10:24 PM
Alright, starting on FT with $85. Let's see how this works...
09-15-2009 , 11:54 PM
I was having a hell of a session to start out. Took my bankroll up to a little over $200 then took some terrible bad beats. Straight flush over my straight flush, having the nut full house until the river until a card hits that gives him it. Set over my set 3 times. Just one thing after another. I was deep stacked with a couple (the full house and straight flush) and ended my session just now at $114....

First couple hundred hands I was on fire, next several hundred I got it handed to me.
