Good start to the new thread... BR: $380 --> $401

This is a mix of goals and stuff so plz deal with, thnks

Goals for Feb:

[ ] Transition to 9 mans on Stars while studying/watching vids and learning to use the HUD; starting at the $6 9 mans, hopefully maintain a 5% ROI learning them

[ ] Clear at least 1/2 of my bonus on FT playing the $3 KO-90 mans and then move up to the the $6 games when I have 150buyins (yes i'm a BR nit )

-about 900 on Stars
-600 on FT

I get back by the 4th of Jan and ready to make some $$$

I am bored as ____ on this terrible vacation

O yeah happy anniversary to ... me lol, joined a year this coming January

Heres my SS (1st started Oct 2009, you can see when I join 2+2):

Good luck at the tables and don't get too drunk tonight kids

Plan of Attack

My goals for 2010 in this order:
Move up out of 5nl ASAP, preferably Jan
At least be at 25nl at the middle of the year, posting a 5PTBB/100 profit.
Take shots at 100NL at the end of the year, and grinding 50nl.
Make enough money from poker that I don't have a huge student loan hellhole I have to repay
Put in solid volume, at least 6-7k hands a week. 24-30k hands a month.
Playing enough hands that rakeback should pay for bills, and cashing out FTP points to buy meaningless material stuff
12-31-2009 , 10:55 PM
Current Stake: was 25NL, converting to mostly 10PLO on Stars/FTP 9/10 max turbo SnG on Stars
Site: FTP/Stars
Bankroll: $350 FPT/$125 Stars and a couple thousand available for deposit if necessary though I never plan on depositing again (withdrew a large portion from both for the holidays.not withdrawing again until at lest 50NL/50PLO, possibly not until at least 100NL/PLO)

Plan of attack:

- Play mainly PLO...I am surprised this isn't flooded with regs. It's as fishy and poorly played as boom era NL.

- Contribute more to 2+2 and ask more questions/post more HH

- Continue to learn the game, read articles and advice from experienced players in the 2+2 forums and watch videos

- play at least 25k hands a month.

- take advantage of the terrible play in the micro stakes PLO...again, I can't get over how badly it is played. Continue to stay ahead of the curve myself.

- Continue a daily review of my hands played. Don't accept anything as "Standard", see if I could have done something differently.

This is an awesome attitude to take.
01-01-2010 , 12:53 AM
Current Stake: 10PLO 6max
Site: Stars / iPoker
Bankroll: $58 Stars / €55 iPoker (Stars - was $270 until monkey tilting for last week due to life stuff / iPoker - have taken 6k off there in 09 )

Plan of attack:

STICK TO ONE BLOODY GAME!! as soon as I start doing well at a game I get lured by taking shots outside my BR and games I think I know (play every game cept badugi and 5CD).

Never play NL cash but SnG's have to go and possibly tournies. Gotten into fold or shove mentality in SnG's (lack of focus I guess) and only playing 1/2 at time aint ever gonna produce a decent winrate. Had decent results playing 4 at time in Oct until of course I started playing every random game that I felt like playing cos I was 'doing well'.

I cant multitable cash games at all but Im getting better at 2 tables and thats the plan, always 2 min until I cant play one. Tend to drop to 1 table if things go wrong and quit break even

Drop in stakes in Stars til BR can handle it (cant at the min but I too nitty at PLO to drop). Will drop to .01/.02 if needs be as depositing is a hassle without a cc.
Shots on iPoker, BR funded by affliate gambling site and crooked irish horse owners

Main plan of attack though is to sort the life outside of poker out so I can achieve above goals. Starting Karate lessons in 2 weeks so maybe Mr.Miyagi will help with my discipline (or lack of!)

Financial goals:
Stars - March 1st $300 - will be blitzed on scoop if I do (even though think scoop is earlier)
iPoker - June 1st €800-1k - games are softer and only going to use it for MTT's (dunno why but I focus more there too)

Will graph update monthly too even though not sure how to graph with PLO Tracker yet!

GL in 2010 all and hopefully this will be all of us at the end of the year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouf-_IA6gR8&NR=1

ps. apologies for the mess and love of brackets

PLAN OF ATTACK:

Get some bollocks and move up to 50NL by end of February. Minimum 10k hands per week. Watch videos... they may be boring but there are some gems.

I'm shocked I can't get action on me making a grand at 10nl this month.

Started day: $15
Ended day: $22.92

Spent like 2 hours on like 220 hands. I'm happy.

BR-374

Just played my first session of the year. I think my nice new years buzz really helped me work on my aggression like I have been wanting to. Put in 2k hands in about 2 hours and was up 3 buy-ins. Lowest point I reached was down a buy-in and a half. I love playing 10nl and being properly rolled. This is where I played mostly when I was a donk so I have a really good read on player types/gameflow at these limits and I'm crushing so far.

Tried my first 2.20/180 and went out at 100th QQ<AA with 14 BBs. Tourneys require so much run good.

Yeah wtf, I was hoping to get a lot of action for this. Anyone else interested in betting against me? We can alter the specifics of course.

Stakes: 3 dollar sng
Initial investment: $100
Current Br: $283

Plan of attack: Continue with 3 dollars until over $300. Move back up to the $6 where i was up at $400 dollar until a downswing. Play that until i can beat it and just keep moving up.

Im too stingy with my roll but this is one that I think is very interesting as that sounds kind of hard/would be an outstanding performance if pulled off.

If this goes down, I would be very happy to def rail your progress.

Will rail everyones progress anyways since this thread is the ****.

Hi All

Bankroll: $72
Limit: 2nl 6 max

Plans for the year are to get back to 25nl, not tilt (as much) and try to post instead of just being a lurker. So i figure a good place to start is here with all the other bankroll builders.

Hope you all had a good hols.
01-01-2010 , 12:37 PM
I used the Stars deposit bonus to move up to 25nl so we will see how that goes... I know that doesn't go along with building a br, but I had a good winrate at 10nl and felt like I was crushing the last 10k hands. Could have just been a heater though. But it is only 4 bis at 25nl so if I win them back I will withdraw my $100 and if I lose 4 bi at 25nl I will withdraw $100 and move back to 10nl.

Anyone else take advantage of the new year bonus?
01-01-2010 , 01:02 PM
I may use it as a "booster shot" to my 10Nl roll but don't think I'll put much more money on.
01-01-2010 , 01:57 PM
Yea it doesn't feel right ha. But 25nl seems just like 10nl so far, and I am up 1.5 bi from this mornings session. However, I did get 4bet already which does not happen very often at 10nl. I definitely am enjoying it more.
01-01-2010 , 02:05 PM
After seeing you can make 3 deposits to spread the bonus out I am def. doing it. I didn't want to dump 100 bucks out of my liferoll into my BR if I didn't have to but seems too good to pass up.
