Had a quick look at my database and Im playing a lot of hands with good regs where I could be playing fish. Gonna try some table selection and see if i can increase my win rate. Also need to stop playing blackjack and NLO8.
Bum hunting at 5NL is definitely more profitable. A bit of variance as Im having to call down lighter and 3 bet lighter in position to isolate the fish. When I can Im changing seats to get position as well.

i was getting my hands killed at nl10
trips were out any time i had AA or KK

so i went to nl50, good times there!

my AA ran into 66 for the 3rd or forth time, and KK ran into top pair turns trips, but after that i stacked a couple of monkeys

one guy throws in over 120bb on the flop of -10 8 x-, i've got 88 and after a 5bet shove he says, "unbelievable, any time i get top pair!" and he shows K10?!

at 50 i can accomplish something that i find impossible at 10, and that is get reads
i think that this also was to do with my table selection at 10, the loosest tables are not the most profitable for my style of play

well the people at NL50 r pretty donkish to,

you should move up to NL1k where they respect your reads.

Terrible session, dropped to 65 before bringin it back up to 70, came back after a food break and ran like an inbred.

I gotta learn to stop applying fancy strategies to micros.. i was playing cash all nite and after readin an article on sng strategy i read about a few techniques i thought i could apply, but then i realised how bad the players were, who dont kno how to fold.... i'm also really tired after so little sleep during the week.

i'll sort it out 2 moro... to pissed off now. i don't tilt easy either for those who dont me...

Check/calling this flop seems very bad imo. C/R this flop and start getting the money in/building the pot. Most of the videos I have watched by pros who crush the game say the biggest error you can make at the micros is slowplaying your big hands. Bet for value with your strong hands since they will call you down very light. (The buttons play in this hand is a perfect example of this)

Great day today..ran into quads twice, had KK and ran into AA twice, QQ an lost to a moron who flatted my 3bet with T7 an floated my flop bet, then called the turn with a gutshot an rivered it!!!! Great day on stars, an I only managed to lose like $3 with all that madness. I also turned a straight an that got flushed away on the river.

Can't wait to get back at it tonight!!

So essentially a winning session on your behalf ignoring the coolers .
01-08-2010 , 08:33 PM
Ya I suppose. It still made me stop my session, I went on monkey tilt an spewed a buy in with 72o in a BvB hand, cbet on a KT9 board, then cr'd the J turn all in after he hit broadway. Worse move I've made this year and I think I'll quit for the night.

Actually I played a $1.10 donkament so I only lost $1.96 in cash games. In the donkament I busted out in the third level with AA v. 99 & K7ss aipf in a 6k chip pot. I lead out utg, utg1 shoved K7, then the c/o flatted his raise, an I shoved another 1.5k an c/o went into the tank then called. He flopped a 9 and K7 rivered the flush lol. that's my day in a nutshell

Current stake: 2nl

Site: Full Tilt

Plan: Build my BR up with consistent play and focus on not Tilting when i lose a BI to a fish.

Thats silly, becuase at the micros your only going to get called by real big hand, though he as 55 aswell 90% of the time he wont.

Anything thats not a set, KJ,AK and maybe AQ at a push isnt calling.
Slow play it, if the turn makes it dangerous then make them pay.

Goal: When I hit $500 move to .10/.25 w/ 4 tables; $1000 move up to .25/.50 w/ 4 tables. I know it's aggressive but I'm shooting for 20k by June

I think your only called by hands that beat you so I check. Hands you beat will prob fold so a bet doesn't seem right in this spot IMO. (edit *I guess 2-pair will prob call. Interesting spot)
01-09-2010 , 01:18 AM
Ya I agree with checkmate, your only going to be called by better hands here and MAYBE two pair? I guess he could also have one pair and a FD, in which case he has to fold if you bet. I see players at 5nl c/c to the river with flush/straight draws even when they're facing pot sized bets.
