100BB, or 250BB on stars.
01-04-2011 , 04:01 AM
ok well i played a 2k hand session. I should have been positive but of course when I turn my game around the massive bad beats start to come into play.

I ended up running 12.3/10.8 ugh very frustration start to 2011
01-04-2011 , 04:28 AM
Well 1st hand you played that bad, don't slowplay that ever.
2nd and 3rd hand are standard.

2k hands isn't that much. I've had many sessions with around 2k hands where I'm down 1-2 BIs the whole session, then I stack 2 donks over my last 10 hands and make a profit.
01-04-2011 , 04:30 AM
^^^ Hand 1, you already know .... Don't slowplay ! All you do is give someone the opportunity to suck out, and reduce what you might win here.

Hand 2, villain calling AI with 2 meh overcards & GS. Unlucky this time, but that is exactly the kind of play that makes $$. Make a note on villain that he did this, you'll get the $ back from him in the end.

Hand 3 is just an atrocious suckout, getting your set counterfeited ....

Yeah the first hand i knew he had it but i was so pot commited with the 10% harrington says that someone could be bluffing i gotta go for it. He also could've been slow playing as well. Hand 3 just doesnt go right in my brain because this hand would make me break even over 2k hands nevermind the other 2. Hand 2 I need to see some profits coming or im going to be down to 0 soon... more hands to come. Lets turn it around!

Hmmm, have you tried playing full ring instead of 6max?

Yeah i played 10k hands at 2nlFR but it seems to be alot harder and i havent learned it as well as 6max. Half the people at the table seem to be playing 16 tables and nitting it up so...

Anyways I just played 2k hands and went +11.95 so im doing better. Keep it rolling
01-04-2011 , 10:40 AM
Hey Exo, how many FR tables do you play at once? And how many vpps do you earn in a normal 1k hand session @ 25nl? I'd like to be playing strictly 25nl, but I only have abt $400 on Stars, so I just mix a cpl tables w/ my 10nl. But I noticed that I get a lot of vpps playing those 25nl tables, and if I could be there full time, I'd be able to reach Gold status.
01-04-2011 , 11:39 AM
Current BR on FT: ~785
Currently playing 25NL.

This year I hope to further improve my game and eventually switch to 50NL or higher (only when I think I'm ready for it, obviously).
01-04-2011 , 12:52 PM
You earn about 0.10 VPP per hand at NL25 FR, so 100 per 1000 hands
01-04-2011 , 12:59 PM
Mixing 10 & 25nl FR I'm getting about 50-55vpp/1k hands. I'm not sure 100% on this, but I think the vpp/$1 raked has come down from 8 to 7 @ 10nl FR.
01-04-2011 , 03:46 PM
Grinded 10NL FR on Stars for the first 2 days - not worth it for VPP's - I made more VPPS @ 5NL 6-max compared to 10NL FR.
01-04-2011 , 04:14 PM
Ya, it's not worth grinding to make a certain vip status. I've just always paid attn too how many I make at w/e level I'm playing. There's quite a few 10nl grinders that are @ Gold/Platinum status by playing 24tbls for 4+ hrs a day. There's absolutely no way I could ever do that.

But if I begin strictly playing 25nl I'll certainly be grinding to make GoldStar. Back in July or August (when they began that extra vpp promo) I made ~2.3k (over 3k fpps) vpps and made 140T$ for rakeback. So it definitely helps you out. Just not worth spending ~5 hrs a day to get it.

23 tourneys +$96.55 46.7% roi

obv I am a noob at the $16s amongst a wedgeload of SNs so I have to establish a little spite equity

why are people vpp chasing at the micros? Are the games that bad?

playing while giving up smoking (kinda) is weird but not actually tilty which is good.

New year - fresh start to supernova/supernova elite grinding

--

Villians are playing big hands so passively today - Got stacked 4 times when I had QQ to their KK / KK to their AA etc...
01-04-2011 , 05:02 PM
I think it's becoming en vogue again at the micros for people to "trap" with overpairs. I've seen it a lot more lately.
01-04-2011 , 05:49 PM
Hey guys well Im back at the micros after busting my roll playing bad and losing lots on blackjack

I deposited 200 quid and starting playing 20nl on ipoker I play any currency and obviously I ran like god, Im going to stick it out for a bit longer here until I have a decent roll for 50nl.

Heres my giraffe

http://img266.imageshack.us/i/grfh.jpg/

And my stats

http://img263.imageshack.us/i/statx.jpg/

Also If any of you guys aint using Table Scan Turbo I highly recommend it just get it setup so it auto class the fish, opens tables and gets on the waiting list with the fish. I play 6 tables so I I have it on permascan and autowaitlist and it stops after I have 6 tables going then if a table becomes crap and you shut it down it will start up again so you don't have to waste time looking at the lobby.
