$287 - Playing 10NL Rush

Made 6 BI's last night, expecting another $72.57 from rakeback on friday.

Plan to grind out 10NL rush until $800 then moving up to 25NL

I switched pretty early on in my cash career per se. Mostly played turbo SaG's which were quite fast paced, and after initially moving to 2NL FR I became increasingly bored, starting to play 2/3/4 tables even though I had not mastered the basics of how to play one! After loosing about 2/3BI's I decided to try my hand at 6max an realised it suited my game a lot more. I have since then beat 2 and 5NL for a reasonable clip and am beating (touch wood) 10NL.

I'm running bad. Real bad.

Tried 5nl yesterday which ended with my biggest losing session ever. Today I stepped down to 2nl, and what happens? I end up with my 2nd biggest losing session.

Here's a pic of the last 3 days.

I've dropped 126 to 102 in 2 sessions. I'm at awe here. Any idea what I should do?

Take a break, or if it doesn't affect you, play through it.

i am starting to play the 6max tables

bc the fullringers are trying to win, while these 6maxies are just out for a good time

i made it in excel
just a couple of formulas
but i wanted to see my 'bankroll' in terms of buyins, because it is easy for me to look at the dollar amounts and not relate them to the bigger picture

Something like that could easily be created in excel.. whether that's another program or not.

Site: FT
Stake: 2nl and micro SnG's
BR: $113

I took a break for a few days over the weekend after a bad run and now I'm ready to get back to it.

Goals:

1. Move up to 5nl - I'm turning into a bit of a BR nit, so no idea when this is going to happen...

2. Clear FT bonus - I'm useless at clearing bonuses , so I'm taking this one as a personal challenge.

3. Start multi-tabling. - How do people manage to do this without going crazy?
02-23-2010 , 01:27 PM
Ok I will play

BR = 52.15 on PS

Goals:
Might try to get my funds over to FTP they gave me a 300$ bonus to clear but it's not even possible with such a small BR.

Hope to make it back to 5nl on PS and clear my first milestone as well as move up to silver star status.

BR: 93

Turning things around. I'll be happy if I can post a break even month.

I had the great idea of saying to myself: "Self.. let's take another shot at 10nl rush and see how that works out.."

5 minutes in: AA < JJ all in on the flop.. binks his J on the turn..
2 min later.. I raise 44 from button. bb flats.. QJ4 flop.. he donks, I raise he flats... Q turn.. he shoves.. I snap... he shows QK... K river...

Solid plan.

Yeh the fish have god mode on vs. me today.

For those of you on FTP and have already cleared a bonus:

I'm still clearing my $600 bonus, @ $160 now so probably won't finish it before March 10th.

R.I.P Graph Hard 12-31-09/2-23-10

Stars BR $383
FT BR $196

M.O. Keep grinding 5NL FR on PS, and add some 10NL FR tables in. Hopefully be at 10NL full time when next month begins. But I wished that February would start that way, and it didn't so..Yes, Ice, your presence in uNL is enough!

Ah dunno if i should join this thread... In BAB4 I gave my goals and stuff, and after abolishing my brm plan, im basically 140 dollars in the red. I wanted 2000 by december next year. the no rakeback at ftp defo had an effect on my bankroll there, while i just tilted to shreads on stars.

Any suggestions on wat to do? Should i give it one more go, on a sight with rakeback? and TRY to stick to this BRM that i simply cant stick to?

cause the internet connection is so busy here at uni that i cant play stars. im planning on playing the ftops on ft tho.

hi ice, wats rpm poker like? iver read a few of the threads in the featured section, but would u recommend it?

cheers

my bankroll is at 52.50 on ftp about 1 month after winning 1 dollar in a freeroll.

im planning on moving up to 5 nl and .10/.20 stud when i get to about 75 or so.

i think anyone at the micros on ftp should give .05/.10 stud a try, the tables are unbelievably soft...

I started playing real money 2PL poker with $25 a year ago. Plenty of studying, no extra deposits, and 30,000 hands later I taking my third shot at 5PL with a $60 BR.

Glad to be over the learning curve, and by no means am I saying that I’m done learning!

Goal: Get my BR up to $150 and keep my eyes open for anything that will help me improve my game. Will drop back down to 2PL if my BR goes below $50…again.

Very very very very very small sample size. I just got PT3

The begining of the graph was me taking a shot at 5NL. I moved up in limit and tried out a new game. Droped back to 2PL, built my roll back up, and am now at 5PL.

OFC i didn't mean you'll literally go bust in 1 table. Heck you didn't mention you were playing 1 table SNG. I assumed you were playing a few tables as 1 table sng is extremely boring.

I'll assume with 5% your gonna be playing roughly 10 dollar buy in, you said your br was 170 IIRC. So slightly over but your a degen.

I jst hope you can keep it together if you go on a streak of no cashing coz even playing 1 table big swings happen.

Degen- no, 5% is my rule so wherever I'm at with my br I use the 5%. I am multi-tabling but each table takes to consideration of the 5% rule.
