And I start to grind a bit of it back and PokerStars dies. Every table is frozen. Guess today is just not meant to be in the green.

Just finished an almost 4 hour long session, which is one of the longest I've played in a while.

Started off terrible. Held AK in spots where I got the fish to shove with their inferior ace, then they'd pair up on the turn/river.
Flopped trips, slowplayed em and burned myself when the villain got a full on the river etc.

Tilted as I was, I decided to take a shot at a 10NL table (supposed to stick to 5NL) and had an awesome run. I was down about $7-$8 but showed a $12 profit when I called it a night. Feels so good when the deck finally agrees

I mean no disrespect but if dropping 50bb bothers you I would suggest you are playing WAY beyond your BR. I'm surprised you don't have several 50bb swings a session. Being down 80bb for a session is rather standard.

Nah, the 50bb drop didn't bother me at all. It's just a wee bit annoying when you start out a fair bit in the red (standard, I know), work your way all the way back over an hour, and then get slapped back into the hole in one hand.

My suggestion (and it took me a long time to figure this out) is to never look at your HEM / PT stats while playing. If you don't know how much you have dropped, it can't bother you

I only look at my HEM stats once I have finished for the day. If I am down I'm obviously not happy but at least that knowledge won't affect my play in any way.

sick river check imo

Villain was pretty tight, 17/6/0.7. Was taking a suspiciously long time to call my flop and turn bets, seemed all too likely he was on some kind of draw. At any rate I don't think he would have called a third barrel with worse. Well played?

Put in a short session before Stars froze tonight and then put a few hours in before a wasp somehow got into my room and I had to sit out my tables to assasinate it. Contemplating on loading up another batch and give it another hours playtime.

No massively notable hands - couldn't give up T2P in one hand that lost me a BI and won QQ > AA vs a fish who'd been min3betting a lot, I 4bet and he min5bet. Couldn't help but shove.

Ship the life out of it.

Oh and DK that KQ is good, I dont think you can get much value out of it because he has no worse Kings in his range, anything else he calls with is AK or 2 pair +

Finished my session last night up in the end, just over a BI. Slowly getting to grips with this level, it does take some adjusting and I am playing slightly tighter than I would do at 5NL. Still a lot of overbeting, its weird.

Anyway, this is the hand that I probably had to think about the most. Couldn't see him calling turn with worse hand than 9x or flush draw. I think most 9x hands contain an ace and most of his flush draws do. The guy was fairly solid and not very agressive either so I dont expect him to outplay me too much on the river. I thought about betting river but was unsure.

Note: Turn bet should be about 1.25-1.35. Small mistake I made there after looking at this hand.

I've been avoiding any goals type threads, but since Ice_W0lf is my hero and started this new one.......wth

      Online Bankroll

      Carbon: $521
      Bodog: $246
      Hercules:$41
      FTP: !%$# that's right it's gone!

      Big Picture Goals

Keep building BR on Merge Sng's, hope the network opens up to new players soon and I can play MTT's full-time but want 200+ BI since I screwed up already. Shipped the first tourney I played there 5 months ago and then pissed it all away in May, had to deposit and grind SnG's only made 1 withdrawal since. When I get $1k will do the MTT grind because SnG's drive you crazy eventually (don't know how jdawg keeps his sanity).

Play cash on Bodog, build up that BR and move up to 25NL or maybe maybe 50NL. Check the MTT action on Bodog and eventually play lots of MTT's, and play cash for extra $$ and a break. Hopefully some big poker site will open up for US players online soon. Someday be an MTT player, with cash games on the side.

      September Goals

Get to 10NL on Bodog building roll close to ~$400

Play a few MTT's on Bodog each week

Play at least 5-10 MTT's every weekend and 1-2 on weekdays, and 100 SnG's on weekdays at Merge

Build Merge roll to $700+ this month, no withdraw until over $1k

Stop procrastinating and finally subscribe to DC, I loved the free trial so what am I waiting for?

Oh well, off to Italy tomorrow so probably won't get any volume in except maybe some before bed and a bit to check the connection when I arrive at the hotel. Will hopefully put in at least a few thousand hands over the week I'm away but I'll most likely just grind it out in the extra few days off I have once I'm home.

      sick river check imo

Villain was pretty tight, 17/6/0.7. Was taking a suspiciously long time to call my flop and turn bets, seemed all too likely he was on some kind of draw. At any rate I don't think he would have called a third barrel with worse. Well played?

Cheers Norway. Yeah I was so sure I was beat in the 2nd hand but his shortstack was just screaming at me. Will definitely find the fold next time.

Anyone doing any decent deals on buying T$ anymore? I think I had 99.7% at this one site pre BF. I can never find the forum to post in to trade but a site that does it would be preferable if anyone cares to PM me.

Donk in that last hand was playing maniacally and trying the bluffshove on the river line so much. He had like $40 when I sat down. His chips were dwindling and I figured that was as good a time as ever. Really unsure though with the 2 overs out there though.

Oh, and I also played a 210 FPP Sunday Storm Sat and owned it so + T$11 too!

Another blah session, finished down just over a BI. Whiffed on just about every flop, about three times I popped it to 4bb with AK in EP, got 3+ callers and the flop came something like 752rr. Made three notes on opponents with extremely exploitable tendencies and then got dealt junk until someone else had the pleasure of felting them. Flopped the nut straight in a multiway pot, got it in otf and got stacked by a setmining shorty filling up on the river.

All said I guess I'm fortunate to only be down just over one BI, but I could use some monsters soon!

Been grinding micro cash for far too long now and getting nowhere with it, started playing $1.50 45's the other night to try something new, two 6th places out of 6 sngs is all I have to show for it right now but the standard sucks so they should be a good BR builder for me I think.

I am slightly worried about volume as I can only really play 6-10 per day atm, 6 at a time tiled, but hopefully that will increase in time, used to play 16 tables of cash stacked but not sure if I can stack tournys and still have a good idea where I'm at in the end stages, will give it a month and see how it goes

Is it just me, or are the games not quite as....fun as they used to be? By 'fun' I mean, when I was playing last year you could usually count on at least some friendly banter at the tables, people commenting on the hands. Guys berating the fish, guys laughing at the guys breating the fish, etc etc.

Now it's like poker to the grim death, nary a word. Kinda miss some of the (mostly) good-natured back-and-forth....

      BR: $244-->$218
Still feel like I'm playing fine, running essentially flat the last few days until A9 two pair ran in to AQ when the Q hit on the river.
