I figured top set was possible but prob not likely, short stacked I decided to just ship it all in.

I guess I need to watch for set vs higher set as Hwang mentions in his book.

phew, played a good amount of rushmaha tonight, started by losing ~$50 in 30 min, just running terrible and getting majorly coolered... Then over the next 30 min or so I won some back and ended -$22 for the day... Played some on stars, got soul crushed so I returned to rushmaha, and won $24, putting me up $2 on the day in 2 hours 20min total lol.

edit: I started a thread in PG&C today about my rushmaha quest, so feel free to come berate me and mock me when I spazz out and lose giants chunks of my br

        Question:

If I spend my 105 IronMan Medals on 2 $8.70 Step 2 Tickets (50 medals each), will I take an MGR hit for it?

I won't be reaching an IM level again until June, to make sure I get my bonus, so I'd like to just spend 'em. I don't see a better value than the 2 step 2 tickets, either.

Nevermind, found out there's no hit for tickets. I guess I'll be playing two 18man step2 sngs now...if they fill.

I've been searching 2p2 for everything 'FTP Steps' related for the last hour, and can't find anything about being able to cash out (so to speak) your step tickets. I know once you hit the $26 (Step 3) level, that you are allowed to use that money to buy into sngs. But some have said you can only use it on the matrix sng. That true? You can't play a normal $26 9/18man sng? You can't play a $26 mtt?
        04-09-2011 , 07:59 PM
You can play $26 mtts/sngs... most people just use the matrix since the format will generally allow you to get some money out of it, unless you run like complete crap.
        04-09-2011 , 08:10 PM
        OK, I see.

I'd much rather take a shot @ winning/cashing in a sng or mtt, than just getting scraps back from a matrix.

Edit: would you take 5-Step1's or 2-Step2's if you had the choice?

i been running horrible in my last 10-20 24+2 matrix....its so sick how bad i run in those....so badddd i make actually buy ring game tix instead.

My runbad continues @10nl rush.....aa<79,kk<1010,aa<k10,....i did hold my KK vs 23 aipf for 130BB....i woulda quit poker forever if i lost that one lol.

Just had a 1BI shot at NL50 HU. Couldn't have run much worse. Fish was open shoving every hand. Called him 3 times with mid aces and JQs, he always had trash and he won every one Then had Q7s, flop QQ2, and he has Q2
        04-09-2011 , 10:04 PM
Ran Good in 18 Mans today, then ran bad in MTT's which gave away most of my profit for the day.

Ah well its nice to know I can shove QTs and know I will get called by worst
        04-09-2011 , 11:04 PM
Can i use an $11 mftops ticket to play in a normal $11 mtt and/or sng? They don't have any regular tourny tix around the $11 or $13 mark.
        04-09-2011 , 11:08 PM
I'm gonna start shoving AA/KK preflop again, sorta tired of getting setmined when I 3bet very large pre.
