I'm not the biggest NLH player but I think with hand 1 you played it fine by putting in the 4bet although I think you should have made it larger like $2.10 or something in that range. I used to just shove it from there pre-flop, not really great unless you know they can call with AK or <KK. But at least you don't feel like a moron when you let them flop a set and get it in with the worst of it.

Hand 2: I don't know about 4betting JJ OOP. I know it's BvB but it's going to be tough to play on a lot of flops. It's probably pretty standard but I don't like it.

I havent played on stars since like october, started again yesterday... my last 3 sessions of 5nl Im running at about 50bb/100 lol, I forgot how awful the play is there. I think more of my time should be spent there instead of rush. For some reason I can't beat 5nl rush, but 5nl 6max on stars I have always crushed, and even made $300 in two weeks last oct.
04-05-2011 , 12:38 AM
first 12 $3.25 6max stt down and running below 24% on my roi below ev... as expected my run bad follows me to every game... stars probably just not my site, shoulda switched to full tilt...

p.s im always complaining tbh, its just what i do

Holy crap ... if hand histories showed tanks and timeouts I'd show you a contrast ...

The hand below, villain was 22/13 over about 70 hands, and rarely tanked and never timed out ... and he was 24 tabling !!!!

He was replaced soon after by someone who tanked every decision, and timed out half his hands, and was only single tabling

Anyway ... 22/13 guy .... good fold, right ???

add one more game every day/few days/week/month w.e., add in 10-20min to session every day/few days, profit???

don't add in crazy amount right away b/c multi tabling efficiently is pretty much building your mental endurance and u need to build it over time not suddenly.

interesting ftp added "ring game tickets" to the ironman store.

    10$ ticket is 75 medals, 25$ 170 medals, 50$ 320 medals.

    B. Ring Game Tickets: Kind of like tournament tickets, but for ring games. You can find them in the regular FTP Store and Iron Man Store ranging from $10 to $200. Buy into any single ring game table with a ticket. This should be a handy thing for anyone who has a bunch of points/medals, not a lot of cash in their account, and doesn't like to play tournaments.
    04-05-2011 , 07:30 AM
Since most of you play cash games... you might find these two pieces of info interesting... they are in regards to ftp's latest update:

    D. Custom Bet Buttons: Found under the new Options Menu, you can now set your three bet buttons on the table to different pre-flop and post-flop values for both PL and NL games.

ya ring game tickets are awesome. curious to see how much ftps they cost.
kinda nice option for games to get fishier if you can just use ftp points and buy into a ring game.
    04-05-2011 , 07:36 AM
If used responsibly.. it could be a great way for people to take shots when moving up. If you're a 25nl grinder that uses a 25 buyin rule.. and you've got 21 buyins for 50nl.... buy a few $50 cash game tickets and give it a shot early.

Or it'll be there for people to degen and not busto their bankroll.

edit: info can be found here

Christ have I needed this run. I was feeling down earlier after playing SNGs taking a good hit out of my BR. I went and played cash 2nl and have been tearing it up on 15 tables. I'm up about 10 BI's and just now had AA Vs his 88 for $8.

Yeah it does.. But they are so soft you can make up for it easily. It's a nice place to build a roll but the rake is killer in 18 mans until $6+
    04-05-2011 , 04:20 PM
Gah, I really really need to stop making bad calls... Cost me a full buyin again. Glad there were other donks around to make up for it. Oh, and the $2+0.10 4 player HUSNG's on stars are insanely soft. That helped too.
    04-05-2011 , 04:39 PM
Anyone used their ftp's in a ring game ticket yet? I'd like to know how much each ftp ends up being worth when purchasing a ticket. For some reason FT won't load up, so I can't do it myself.

Can you buy the ticket, sit down, and then get up and see that money in your BR? Or do they have some corny rule where it's considered ring game money, like tourny money?

Yup. and once the smart ppl (like us ) find out they only count the points from one table (which are needed to clear the $) this item will be a total bust. You should be able to use your $ how you want, not how they tell you, you can.

Even if you were to open 8 tables, and 1 of those tables was with your ticket, but the points from every table counted towards your mark, that would be fine. I'd spend all my ftp's on it right now. But no. They want to drag you around by your dick to make sure you keep playing.
