I would probably put him on QQ+ and probably just call to see a flop. Not sure exactly his style as you would but seeing the stack he has hes probably a pretty good player. If you pair up or hit a draw I'd keep playing it and see where you are in the hand betting with him. Just my thought. Go with your gut and don't be scared to lay it down.

Whats your play here? Do I re raise? If so how much or do I flat call and see what comes on the flop?

Advice on these hands is where I think I may leak some money.

Results will be posted after I get some advice.
insta push imo, dont just call, re-raise to $3.00 is fine too..

The plan:

1. to grow a bankroll rom $35.00 using good bankroll management

2. to avoid being owned by the uber-donks of 2nL so my graphs aren't humiliating.

3. to start with full ring games, til I get my feet back under me.

Today's Progress: (yes, I'm so weak-tight in 2nL it's sick, but what the heck it works)

Best of luck to you Gina! I also just got back into online poker. A friend staked me for 20 bucks a month ago (yeah I was that broke) and it's up to a thousand now. All full ring for now, but it's working. I hope you do great.

GL everyone.

This thread is very motivational.

I've played

14 x $3 (mix of 18s and 45s) +$30 ROI 65%
17 x $1 (all 45s) +24.30 ROI 130%

5 x $2 (all sat to 100k) +0 ROI 0%
4 x $6 (all 6 turbos) - $26 ROI - 100%

Played some omaha sngs as well, leaving me with a BR of $67, from $20 on sunday.

I need to play more. I'm going to start 6-tabling the $3.25 45s if I have time over the weekend. I'm obviously not going to play the $6.50s (they were all in one set of 4 and my roll took a beating )

Up to $170 from $70 a few days back. =)

played one so far today, got a 2d, so back up to 40... I think i'm going to try the following formula... if I cash in 2 consecutive $1.20s, I'll single table one $5 sng... thoughts?
05-09-2008 , 01:54 PM
I usually dont have time to play tourneys, so when i do i usually take full advantage of those days.... today is one of those days...

today's schedule (all est):
2:15 $2.20 6max
3:15 $2.20 quintuple turbo shootout
5:00 $2.75 mtt
maybe the 5:45 $3.30 HORSE
6:00 $1.10 mtt
7:00 $1.10 mtt
8:00 50cent mtt
8:15 $2.20 mtt
8:15 $2.20 4man quintuple shootout
9:15 $2.20 6max
9:45 $1.10 HORSE
10:15 $3.30 triple shootout

and i'm hoping to win some t$ so i can play the $5.50 6max at 6:15 and the $5.50 mtt at 9.. obviously this is subject to change. I've been reviewing my latest sng hands and realized i've been waaaaaay to tight in the early stages of the middle of sngs (50/100, 75/150 100/200.. those levels) and then basically limping into the money and hoping i can get a big hand. I'm pretty sure this has been my biggest leak in my last 150 games or so, as i started opening up a bit yesterday and had some better results, so we'll see how tonight goes.

playing a 5.00 tourney with only 45 seems very aggressive, though I really know nothing of br mgmt for tourney players.

You sure that's the right graph? Only goes up to 127.

Edit: Up to $219.35 woopwoop.

This is indeed very agressive for SNGs, early on I struggled with wanting to take shots above what I should simply because of the 20% rake on the 1$ sngs, its tough to beat the rake when its twice that of the next level though the next level up will be a bit tougher.

after seeing Gina's graph i quietly report the results of my first week
hands: ~10000 2NL (6max: 6000, FR: 4000) + a few shots at 10NL + a few SnGs
Bankroll: 26$->56$

05-09-2008 , 07:26 PM
sorry- yes it's the right graph. the rest of the money (except the initial 35) comes from playing the 210 fpp two-table donks- then cashing in them. converting the money to t$. Using t$ to register for 36 player sats to the 100k, cashing, an unregistering.

Basically about 80.00 of what I have comes from grinding satellites to the 100k. The rest is from 2nL.

Nightmare!

Came home last night super drunk at about 5am, loaded up poker stars and registered for 8 $3.25 games. I fell asleep after about 5 hands

So, my BR has taken a hit, down to about $45. I wont be playing over the weekend, cos I'm about to go frolicking in the sun - wahey!
05-10-2008 , 06:15 AM
Your name fits you well. Never play poker drunk. That's what play money tables are for.
