I'm glad this weekend is over, I struggled to keep what i had i swear. Sat down at one table, had 66. went 3xbb, had one caller. flop hits A69.... he min bets, I bet the pot... he thinks a sec I put him on an Ace he raises me all in. So I call. He has A10. Turn is a 10, river is an A. Sucks...lol. go to another table. Sit down, get first hand JJ. Raise 4xBB on the button get one caller. Flop J72 with one club. he goes all in, i call, he has Q6 clubs. Of course runner, runner flush. Been like that the whole weekend.

Full tilt was $46 now $39.50
Bodog was $75.19 now $66.87

Played 6 45 man SnGs yesterday. Didn't cash in any of them. My on the bubble play was atrocious! So I went back to the cash games and did well. I was up about $6 in about 1 hour. Cashed out and went to another table was up about $3 there until I donked off my profit and buyin! ARGH! (where the hell did that fold button go?!)

Ah well, today is another day.

Decided to make a move up to $10 after the tourney cash yesterday.

4 tabled ended up taking 2nd twice and 1st twice

BR up to $1,341.84

Grats on the tourney bruzer! Sorta similar to how my BR was built, used to play just lowest micros and smallest SNGs and got couple decent 4/180 cashs and played overrolled for nl10/25, 5-10$ sngs, tiny MTTs ect, then later won a sat seat to an FTOPS event and cashed in it which gave me a good enough roll to play higher cash which I now play for the past few months. Just remember to not move up to fast even if you are overolled, with big/decent MTT scores its easy to let your BR grow faster then you skill, better to play overolled then play above your head.

Here we go again. 116/1067 left in the Early Double - B I'm about average in stack.

Edit: Cut shorter than expected 77th, TT in BB to a minraise he had Aces.

Sorry to hear that Icewolf, I'm sure you'll get out of the rut you're in.
05-27-2008 , 09:49 PM
thx.. despite all my bitching lately.. i've pretty much been break even in the past 2 weeks.. seems like i'll play and play and play.. get down 20-25.. then make it up in my last game of the night. Last night I was down like 15.. played an 16 man 3.40 razz sng..took 2nd..finished the night basically even. I've got 4 4.40s left from my friends stake, no luck so far with those. 1 cash.. only once in 6 i've played have i gotten to the first break with more than 1.8k in chips, so hopefully I can get a decent finish in a few of those so that I can be comfortably rolled for 2c5c in the next 2 weeks, maybe even 5c10c so i can start my run at 20k hands in about 10 days. Maybe then i'll be able to convince myself that I should stick to cash games and the occasional mtt.. and forget most sngs.
05-27-2008 , 10:58 PM
You guys are inspirational. Due to being a broke ass degen I decided to give this a try.

I deposited $10 on Stars a couple of days ago and am now 20 tabling the 1c/2c games. I decided to make a blog to keep track of my progress. Check it out!

GL everyone.

currently crushing 2nl at 17ptbb/100 over 8k hands

we'll see if i can keep it up

edit: charley i just did the same thing, except i deposted 20. gonna try to run this up to a few hundo then just go into 10 and 25nl and continue from there.
05-27-2008 , 11:21 PM
1st session today i was down 40$ from 530ish to 490

2nd session up 100$ from 490 to 590... variance is huge and I notice a trend.. almost everyday I have a losing session followed by a winning session. either it gets easier at night or I play better at night.

will be nice to hit $1K and switch to 25NL... hopefully i dont take too many bad beats then cause the jump from losing 10 bucks at a time to losing 25 will be pretty big. a 200$ downswing would drive me insane.
05-27-2008 , 11:25 PM
i am winning at a good clip but just bleeding in non-showdown pots. is that normal?
05-27-2008 , 11:34 PM
To evaluate your non-SD pots, set pt or hm to show your winnings in pots where you voluntarily put money in the pot and look at those, and then look at how you do when you don't voluntarily put money in the pot and don't go to showdown.

You're going to lose a lot of the time when you're in the BB with a crap hand and fold after the flop. Don't beat yourself up over that. Look instead at where you voluntarily enter the pot and don't go to SD.

Well i went onto Stars today and noticed I had FFP's on there, so i went looking for a tourney to use them on. Found a NL turbo with a 10fp buy in and joined it. Won 0.35 cents...lol so got a bankroll on stars now. looks like the only thing I can use it on is a limit table, not much to play with but hey it was free.

I just called because this guy was betting and raising with junk all night. I felt by the way that he was betting that he didn't have much. A calculated risk on my part but I was pretty comfortable with it. But, I get what you're saying.
