Hi,

what is best book about poker that improved your way of playing? I am reading currently "Harrigton on Hold 'em", so i got feeling that there is more to learn before starting playing online poker.

Janda's book is the nuts, however you probably should read quite a few more simpler books before it to fully utilize it.

Your question has different answers based on what format you plan to play (MTT, STT, cash...)

That being said, you seem to prepare yourself to read a lot before playing. Incorporating play time amidst your study plan is a better approach: read a book, play some, read another book (or reread the first one), play some more, read another book, etc.

I'm a relatively recent convert to poker too

I tried reading Harrington in advance of playing too - but I would support Donkey111's view that you should play too.

Unless you have way better memory retention than me, mistakes are the best way to learn, and play helps to contextualise what you have been reading too.

I would also seriously recommend posting hands - it can be a little painful reading the responses, but painful lessons are (for me) the most effective.

IMO, don't bother read Dan harringtons cash game book, it's too oudated. I'd recommend Applications by Janda since it's the nuts, but it's really hard for beginners to grasp, and it's also harder to apply in micros, where an exploitable style is more profitable.

That being said, I recommend 1% by Ed Miller if you still want to develop a solid game, it's basicly GTO based, but it also teaches you to play a bit exploitive on the premise vilain plays exploitive FIRST.

Other books that improved my game is "Easy game vol. 3". I also enjoyed reading "Let there be range", but not sure how it can apply to micros.

Actually I recommend you to take a sub at a training site, for me, watching those vids (while taking notes!), help me more much than reading books. Sites like RIO, CR and grinderschool are all decent.
