Russia I can see for the World Cup but Qatar? WTF?

I hope players like heat stroke. But then again I guess with all that money they can find a way to cool down the players. Maybe strap monkeys on their backs with fans and ice.

I heard they were going to build giant air-conditioned stadiums. Good thing they've got all that disposable oil money because building a ****ton of stadiums that get used for one event then sit around with their metaphorical thumbs up their metaphorical asses might otherwise be something of a financial burden.

**** Qatar.

I think their going to dismantle the stadiums and ship them to other countries.

You should see the thread in SE.

Don't forget all the infrastructure and **** they'll have to build for a country of 1.7 million people.

Not completely ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibi...d_Central_Asia

Qatar bans the importation of alcohol and it is a punishable offense to drink alcohol or be drunk in public. Offenders may incur a prison sentence or deportation. Alcohol is, however, available at licensed hotel restaurants and bars, and non-Muslim expatriates living in Qatar can obtain alcohol on a permit system at the Qatar Distribution Center, the only distributor allowed to sell alcohol.

I think they're setting up fan zones for people to drink as well.

How can people stand soccerball without easy access to alcohol

lols. didnt catch much of it but its totally obvious that if we didnt win - and lets face it...we were never going to win as FIFA only tolerates countries like Australia and clearly didnt care that we can throw a great event (hello olympic games) - that people would be pissed. Not to hate on Qatar but when a tiny money loaded country wins its pretty obvious as to why......

too much politics in soccerball, everyones corrupt

I should give you fair warning that it's Friday night here and I will be having a few drinks soon:....

Anyway the best I can come up with is:
1. 260-245=15 which is practically zero
2. Getting 242 for last 7 wickets isn't terrible
3. Seems that the English have learnt at least one thing from australia.....how to celebrate like obnoxious tools

But that's all I got...im thirsty
12-03-2010 , 04:30 AM
But yeah, you guys won the day....and gladly accepted charity... Lol terrible running between wickets
12-03-2010 , 05:33 AM
Oh Jimmy, Jimmy.....

Not to get carried away but that is a brilliant day for us.
