What's the general consesnsus on how many BIs are adequate to play HU NL?

There isn't one, because it depends on a few different things. Phzon has posted a lot of the subject in general, if you do a search for "bankroll requirements" you'll find specific stuff that can help you. It helps to have an estimate as to your standard deviation and your winrate.

If you're a little lazy and don't want to look, just know there's higher variance in HU NL that 6-max or FR. Even if you're a decent winner, you could be looking at 50+ buy-ins or more. If you can drop down as needed, or if you have a massive edge, that can reduce your BR requirements.

Thanks guys! Actually, I forgot to mention in my original question that I was interested in HUNL SnG bankroll requirements. Gonzo, I tried the the search, but didn't have any success in finding what I am looking for...

So if anyone has any input on how many BIs for a particular level would be sufficient to start playing HUNL SnGs it will be much appreciated!
